My remembrance of this episode is rather rough, so, bare with me.
I hated how they didn't tell Polnareff anything... I trust him ;)After getting ready in the morning, a rather awkward one at that, the Crusaders arrive in Calcutta.
You and Jotaro share a look when you see the large group of natives approaching you and the rest of your group.
Some begged for money, some asked you to buy their products, as well as other people trying to get you to go on things like tours.
"Welcome to India, my friends!" Avdol laughs. He smiles coming back to this country.
You notice the other crusaders seeming to have a hard time navigating the crowd as well, trying to make it out. You have an idea, a really tiring one, but it might work.
"Jotaro!" You shout.
He turns to you, a statue out of the water, silently saying 'What?'
You wave him and Kakyoin over, trying to explain your plan but get fed up trying to talk over the crowd.
You call our your stand to send a giant gust of wind down a vertical path through the people, and then grab Kakyoins wrist and begin to run.
"Ack! He stole my wallet!!" Polnareff shouts.
'Wow, you still have... had.. your wallet?' You think. 'I've been mooching off of Mr Joestar nearly this entire time. I feel a kinda bad about it, but he's rich and only getting richer. He can afford it.' You giggle at your own thought.
You and the group eventually manage to escape the crowd into a small restaurant.
Avdol encourages you and the other teens to try some traditional indian dishes, such as the kosha mangsho. You stick to food you're more familiar with but oblige when Avdol suggests for you to buy a cup of chai, something you've had back at home.
"I like it here. It's cool," Jotaro says, egging a reaction out of his grandfather.
Joseph begins to choose what he wants from the restaurants menu, when Polnareff excuses himself off to go to the bathroom.
Moments later, a bloody knuckles Polnareff comes sprinting around a corner, searching the restaurant frantically. Mirror shards are embedded into his knuckles.
After a moment of calming his anger down, he finally speaks, "This is where I leave your group, Mr. Joestar." He inhaled, "My sisters killer is around here. I must hunt him down and kill him for what he did," He says. He walks away with a simple goodbye, seeing red.
"Don't be foolish, Polnareff. You know as well as I do what will happen if you leave by yourself." Avdol says.
Polnareff turns around slowly, anguished. "What, you think i'll lose? I've waited every day for this. I'm prepared," He argues.
"Yes, I do think you'll lose. Can't you see, he drew YOU out on purpose so your emotions will impact your battle decisions! You don't know what's out there. You don't know how many people there are, how his stand works- in fact, you don't even know what the guy looks like other than his hands!" Avdol seethes loudly.
Polnareff gets close to Avdol, perhaps only inches away. "I wont lose," he starts.
"You know very well I was only on this trip for Sherry. I have no reason to travel with this group anymore." He grits his teeth, face turning red from the thought of it.
"How selfish! That's purely cowardly!" Avdol scolds. You know he's worried and letting his feelings get the best of him.
Polnareff roars, "Says the man who ran away from DIO!"
