Just as the Black Phoenix dark guild became free and the magic prison facility was ultimately destroyed along with this prison breakout, the news of it didn't officially reach the civilians across Novis until the investigations confirmed it days later. The 12th Guardian was at the site where the ruins of the magic facility remained, seeing how the gates were covered in anti-magic particles and getting inside to search for any more clues or intel only proved it to be near impossible at this point.

If such an event happened overnight, why weren't any of the Sacred Guardians informed and ordered to intervene? One pondered on and about while treading back and forth anxiously. The Asquith Anti-Magic Squad used their equipment to gather up all the anti-magic particles and clean the front gates up little by little, making it passable at least. When that was done, every single of the Anti-Magic squad members went in to start cleaning up the area gradually.

It made no sense to the 12th Guardian, Len Takeyama who waited for the signal from the nearby squad. He noticed faintly visible traces of the magic types, but it was too mixed to tell which is which apart.

"The dark guild..." He uttered, kneeling to observe the faint traces of mana. "If they are free, where would they be hiding now? We have so much to deal with at this point. The Nexus declared war on us, then forced us to retreat using our defenses. Not to mention we suffered a lot of losses already, with the 10th Guardian being gone." He sighed deeply.

An approval nod was given from the nearest soldier, moving the contained anti-magic particles away to allow passage to the entrances of the gates. The darkish blue-haired male reluctantly entered the ruins of the facility, scanning the first levels for anything useful.

Much to his surprise, there were mass piles of corpses scattered throughout the facility, all mixed consisting of Asquith Mages, former prisoners, and prison guards. It was almost as if a fight had broken out between the two opposing sides. The only common thing they all shared was that they all succumbed to the anti-magic poisonings. It was a massive graveyard at this point.

He arrived at the other gates leading to the other levels which were still tightly engulfed in the poisonous particles, staring at the corroded gates. It was almost as if a corrupted elemental magic type was used to tear through it. No traces of any magic type due to the work of the particles.

"Looks like this is as far as we can go without risking our lives." He spoke in a concerned tone, slowly giving a nod to the others escorting him. "Inform the First Guardian that there are no survivors and that we confirmed the Black Phoenix has unfortunately escaped. We'll be making a report for the emergency meeting we're to hold very soon." He turned and thought about it critically.

"Nexus and Black Phoenix. If my intuitions are right, we could be dealing with serious threats to our beloved home-world."

The next day, Len Takeyama was suddenly called into the Asquith City along with the other few Guardians while the rest were on standby at their stationary posts. This emergency meeting was only to be held between 4 participating members of the elite unit. The ones present at the Chambers were the 1st Guardian, Arthur Lester; 4th Guardian, Karis Iwaki; and finally, the 7th Guardian, Midnight Monomiya. They were all seated down in their assigned seats, waiting for Len to sit down.

The Honour Knights accompanying the Sacred Guardians remained outside of the Chambers and were told to remain on standby.

One could easily tell the 1st Guardian was not happy about the reports each of the members submitted involving their investigations on the Nexus and other matters. Everyone remained silent as to wait for the leader to begin his usual speech, but it never came. Instead, a disappointing sigh followed.
