Late at night, Nancy is sitting on the side of Steve's bed after she had her first time with him. Steve is sleeping like a baby and Nancy is processing what just happened. She silently puts on Steve's hoodie and tries to kindly wake him up. "Steve? Hey, Steve."

"Hmn?" he groans, without moving from his comfortable position. "I'll... see you tomorrow, okay?" she whispers.

But Steve doesn't get up, and groans again in response instead. Nancy sighs and leaves the room without making any sounds. She quits the Harrington's house from the backyard and longs the empty pool.

She walks home on her own and tries to be as sneaky as possible when she opens the front door. But little does she know, Karen Wheeler is waiting for her in her night gown, and she is not happy at all.

"Oh, Jesus. You scared me." Nancy mutters.

"Oh, I scared you?" Karen snaps. "I know, I should've called." Nancy says.

"Where have you been?" Karen loudly demands. "We agreed on 10:00." she continues quieter.

"After the assembly, some people wanted to get something to eat." Nancy innocently lies. "I didn't think it'd be a big deal."

"You didn't think to call and let me know?" Karen protests. "With everything that's been going on?"

"I didn't realize how late it was, okay? I'm sorry, mom. What more do you want?" Nancy dismisses her, stepping on the stairs. "Hey, wait..." Karen stops her midway. "Whose sweatshirt is that?"

Nancy looks at her with busted eyes. "Steve's." she whispers.

"Steve's." Karen repeats firmly. "So is Steve your boyfriend now?"

"What?" Nancy gasps. "No! It was just cold, so I borrowed his sweatshirt. it's not a big deal." She frowns at her mother.

"Nancy?" Karen calls out when her daughter tries to escape her. "What." she replies with an annoyed tone.

"You can talk to me." Karen softly says. "You can talk to me. Whatever happened."

"Nothing happened." Nancy firmly states.

Karen looks at her with water in her eyes and whispers her name. "Nothing happened." Nancy repeats. "Can I please go?"

Karen doesn't respond and Nancy finally leaves her at the bottom of the stairs, feeling powerless. Nancy quickly gets up and heads to her bedroom door, about to cry, when she notices Y/N standing away in the corridor, looking at her.

Y/N heard her mother and sister's fight downstairs, and she is standing in front of her bedroom door, her arms corssed on her chest. Nancy stops in her tracks when she sees her, and a tear rolls from her eye. Y/N's frowns slightly eases at her sister, and she hesitates to say something.

But Nancy quickly enters her room, firmly closing the door behind her. Y/N uncrosses her arms and sighs, before going back in her room for the night.

Early the next morning, Jonathan is deeply sleeping in his bed after a rough night of trying to get some rest. He didn't notice his mother's attitude when he came home and went straight to his bedroom, but Joyce has been experiencing strange things in his absence.

Last night, she came home with a new telephone and patiently waited at its side for another phonecall. And when it happened, this time, this time she heard him. Clearly. It was Will, he said her name. And Joyce was exterical, she heard his breaths and the scary growls and she was screaming to the phone before it burnt in her hand, exactly like the previous time.
