The cardiology conference is cancelled after all the participants catch food poisoning from spoiled shrimps offerd by the Hotel's staff. It's lucky Jimin has not eaten any as he suffers from a severe allergy to shrimp and the littlest prawn slipped in his plate turns him into a disfigured monster.

The omega was so eager to attend the conference, he even prepared some questions for his favorite spoker person but he's also glad to have an excuse to go back to see his husband. He packs his bags after wishing a speedy recovery to all his colleagues and checks out from the hotel. His flight back to seoul has been moved forward and he's eager so much he can barely keeps it in as he climbs into a taxi.

He doesn't warn his mate as he intends to make him a surprise.

The flight lasts two hours and it lands without troubles at the Incheon airport by a sunny afternoon. The sky is clear and the sun beamed down at him as he files out the device, his
hand luggage in tow. He goes through all the boring procedures in unusual high spirits, the thought of soon seeing his mate making him grin until he is outside. He hails a cab and settles in the backseat, buckling his seatbelt before giving his address to the driver who grunts in acknowledgement before leaping into the dense traffic of the highway.

Jimin leans back and closes his eyes.

The flight was a nigthmare and in comparison the ride back to his place is a sinecure. He thoughts are full of his mate. The alpha and him was together for almost a year now and if he believed in love at first sight he would've say it was but as it isn't the case he will settle to they got along right on.

The two of them met during Jimin's residency in Busan. He's twenty two back then younger than the almost thirty he's reaching. The alpha had just graduated from a perstigious school as an architect. Jeon jungkook was his name. It's difficult to explain as they just seemed to click.

after the awkward introduction and a terrible first date (followed by four others continuously interrupted) they started dating. It lasted a solid eight months before Jungkook proposed ans the omega said yes. Five months later they married. It's a big wedding that his controlling and over protective parents still funded even though they didn't like the alpha he chose

Jungkook settled up his own company and as his first project, designed and built their house. He couldn't have been happier.

The drive ends approximatively an hour or so later. he feels it slow down in the all too familiar neighborhood before stopping in front of a gate. He reads his address on the mailbox and feels himself grin like an idiot. He ducks out after handing a couple bank notes, rounding the vehicle to retrieve his luggage in the trunk.

He watches it drives aways.

The neighborhood is one of the nicest one and it wasn't a coincidence. It offers a lot of advantages such as it's a short distance from the Seoul Memorial Hospital where he works as a cardiologist. It's safe and values the privacy of the residents. He wipes his head to watch a couple of omega pushing strollers from which came out the innocent babbling of infants. The omega stares for a while before heaving out a deep sigh heading toward the gate.

He releases the latch and let himself into the yard. The narrow cobblestones path leading up the front door inviting him but his head was still full of the image of the two omegas with theirs children. He wanted the same the thing.

He crosses the path, fishing around his pockets for his own spare of keys as he walks up the small stairs. The omega shot one last wistful gaze across the stree then he unlocks the door and let himself rolls his luggage past the treshold. The silence engulfs him for a brief instant then he moves to set his keys down in the ceramic bowl on the mahogany table a few feet away when his eyes lands on something and his heart squeezes in his thorax.
