Y/N was a huge fan of the band Spandau Ballet she listened to their music almost all day every day she never got bored of the songs, so when her boyfriend surprised her with two tickets to their show in Indiana Y/N almost fainted with shock that Billy had been able to get tickets since she knew they were expensive and were almost definitely going to sell out in a matter of minutes.
Billy bought the tickets for Y/N's nineteenth birthday, he had been saving up for so many months just so he could get her the birthday present that she deserved, Y/N and Billy were a very unlikely pairing— Billy was a party boy who liked to show off and he was an infamous ladies man who had them falling at his feet yet he always got what he wanted. Y/N was a kind hearted girl who never had a bad word to say about anyone, she liked parties just not as much as Billy did but she still knew how to have fun and let loose.
The plan was that after Billy and Y/N would finish school they would get straight into his car and drive about two hours to where the concert was going to be held, Y/N insisted on paying for a hotel room for the night even though Billy was going to pay for that as well but Y/N wouldn't let him. Y/N made sure that Billy's stepsister Max had a way of getting home that day since they wouldn't be able to take her back, she asked her friend Steve to take Max home when he took Y/N's brother Dustin home as well which he was happy to do,
Dustin was less than pleased when Y/N and Billy started dating, he always had hopes that Steve and his sister would get together and become the ultimate couple in his eyes. He was sure the relationship would only last a few months and that Billy's reputation would proceed him but when one year turned into three— Dustin knew that this was a serious thing that his sister had gotten herself into. Dustin could see that Y/N loved Billy with all her heart and he could see that he made her happy much to his dismay.
When the last bell for school ran Y/N wasted no time in hanging around she was out of those school doors and went rushing straight to her boyfriends car where he was already waiting for her, he obviously managed to get out a little earlier than she did
"Hey babe let's go." Y/N beamed as she opened the car door and got inside Billy's car
"Y/N—" Billy said a little lowly
"Whatever it is can it wait till we're there? I really want a good standing place." Y/N continued to say cheerily to her boyfriend
"Y/N the boys want me to go out tonight." Billy said but that didn't faze Y/N,
"So? That doesn't matter just tell them you'll see them tomorrow when we're back." Y/N brushed off
"I said I would see them."
"Did you forget about our plans?" Y/N asked curiously and Billy just shook his head and that simple action was like a slap round the face her, "S-so you're choosing them over me? I'm your girlfriend Billy." Y/N said sadly
"I know and I'm sorry." Billy said
"You got these tickets for me for my birthday! You knew this night was happening and yet you still choose them over me!" Y/N finally snapped in the now empty school car park.
