Hayden's POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Bradley Will Simpson you idiot!" I scream. Brad's tickling me and it's starting to hurt. "Don't--. Stop!"
He laughs. "Don't stop? Okay!" I push him off of me and breathe. Brad's been my best friend since forever. I don't think there's a part of me he doesn't know. Unfortunately, one part he knows really well is how ticklish I am.
"You suck."
"But you love me anyways." He lays beside me and starts singing. He's always been great at singing. We both are, but he has more of a chance of actually being famous for singing.
"What are you singing? I don't recognize it," I wonder.
"Just something I've been working on."
"Wow. Vague, much?"
"Ha. I can't believe tomorrow is the beginning of senior year. It seems like just yesterday we were starting kindergarten, walking into Ms. Risestones' classroom."
"Yeah. Crazy, huh? And then in 6th grade when I got into more advanced classes than you," I tease.
"Haha." He sticks his tongue out at me. "It was the first time we didn't have class together."
"Yeah." I curl up into his side. He puts his arm around me. "Brad, what if after graduation, we never see each other again?"
"Nope. Impossible. We're best friends. Best friends forever, remember?" He kisses my head. "I love you, Hayden."
"You, too, Brad."
I fall asleep like that, with Brad stroking my hair.
