My eyes flutter open and it takes me a moment to realize I'm no longer on the jet and I've been moved to a bed. There was a window right behind me and I slipped up the shade and couldn't help the small sigh that escaped me from the view.
It was magical. The horizon was a blend of orange hue chasing the dark blue of the night sky - the tell that the sun was coming up. There seemed to be miles and miles of ocean and I could make out the lush green off the hills through my sleepy eyes.
There were little boats docked below and after scanning the area one last time, I let the shade fall back into place. My eyes took in the room I was in. It was very open. The four poster bed I was sleeping on was made of white wood and there was a netting canopy attached to the posts.
The room was filled with gold accents and plush carpet sat on the floor. To the left of me were french doors that I could see led to a balcony through the white sheer curtains that were drawn. I fell back against the bed sighing deeply from the peaceful morning before a groan left my lips when I realized I'd slept without my bonnet all night.
I knew I was a heavy sleeper - I once slept through a fire. Nothing dramatic but my sister went shopping and left one of her shopping bags next to a lit candle. Apparently the smoke alarms went off and the house was extremely chaotic but I only heard about it because I was dead asleep.
I shook my head smiling at the memory.
My only problem was when I woke up - even if it was at the crack of dawn - there was no going back to sleep. Knowing that, I rolled out of the soft king sized bed and moved towards the door to my right where my luggage was.
When I opened the door, I couldn't help the smile that spread across my face at the sight of the bathroom. The ceilings were high, and like the bedroom everything was accented in gold. the small bench beside the tub that held towels was in gold - even the dials to turn on the water in the walk in shower was the luxurious color.
There was a mirror to my immediate left as I walked in and at the sight of my hair - I knew I'd either have to wash it or straighten it. She was a mess. Before anything, I moved to the shower turning the water to be the temperature I wanted before grabbing my toiletries bag to slip on my shower cap.
The minute I stepped in the shower, it was like I'd stepped in another world. The water was perfectly hot. It reminded me of my trip to Tahiti. I sighed remembering the trip with my best friend. It was great, we had so much fun and the thought that I might never be able to go back to that was kind of daunting.
I needed to call him.
With the thought in the back of my mind, I finished up my shower taking my time to enjoy the relaxing feeling.
After finishing up my shower, I decided it would be best to just straighten my hair. So with my phone placed on the large bathroom countertop, I plugged in my iron, started some music on the Bluetooth built into the mirror and got to the task.
It took me about forty minutes to tame my hair, put on some light concealer and fill my eyebrows in. I wasn't sure what the plan was for the day with Niccolo but I was adamant I was going outside. Not even he would stop me from 'wandering'.
I slipped into a white lace underwear and no bra because of the dress I was wearing. It was a white off the shoulder mini ruffled dress with a corset style bust that I had to tighten to stop my boobs from spilling out. The sleeves went down to my wrists where it was ruffled a bit more. I turned and admired the back seeing a glimpse of the tattoo on my spine through my hair.
Cute.
When I finally walked out the bathroom, the sun was shining bright and the doors leading to the balcony were open. I slowly made my way over and took in the table that was filled with different selections of breakfast foods.
