Makotos mother shovled the food into her daughters mouth in a hurry. She then gave it to her son aggressively and told him to do it for her while she was at work. It was a Sunday morning at 7:25 and he didn't need to go to school. Then he got an idea. 'hey, makoto-chan. can you say masumi?' the thought of his little sister being able to say his name made super exited.
'ma.... Masumoi!'
You're so adorable Makoto-chan!' he said happily. he had to take care of her for the rest of the day, so he thought he'd teach her to walk. He put the food away and did the dishes. then he knelt down infront of her and held his arms out. 'come on! Come to nii-chan!' makoto wobbled to her feet and walked over in a slow waddle. When she reached her brother, she fell into his open arms and giggled. Masumi smiled and picked her up. it was time for her to have some formula milk.Masumi picked makoto out of her crib and dressed her in a pink skirt and shirt. 'mum said we're going to the mall!'
'yayyy!' Masumi chuckled and carried her out of the room. Deep Inside he felt a bit worried. whenever they go out, people make comments assuming she's adopted because she has different hair to both him and their mother. He also worry's it'll happen when she starts school. But for now, he just quickly brushed it off and got in the car. 'masumoi, how long?'
'how long will it take to get there?' makoto nodded. 'about.... 2 minutes.' makoto turned her head to face straight and waited silently. When they arrived, Masumi picked her up and followed his mother into the jewlery store. Makoto felt something in her eye and burst out into tears. 'ah!- sh-shhhh! M-mum! Mum!'
'shut her up yourself!' she yelled. the attention of all the other customers and workers ficsating on them.
'b-but-'
'just be quiet!' masumi calmed her down a few minutes later, but his mothers words had never left his head.
