Homura panted as she looked off into the distance. The city was lying in front of her and she had to reach it. She took a deep breath and began to make her way to the city again, she quickly began to run as she got closer with each step. She didn't want to waste anymore magic as it was, and she was out of grief seeds too. There was nothing to do but keep running straight. She fell back to her base form as she kept running. Now she could feel her chest burn up with each step, and it was getting harder to breath. Luckily, it was only night time and the cool air would provide some sort of cooling. She finally made it in the city and she took a moment to stop and breath. She placed her hand on her knees, bending down to breath heavily.
I need to find this Lief guy, he's the only thing I have left that might tell me of Madoka's disappearance... Homura looked back up at the city and gritted her teeth. I have to find her! She finally started running at full speed towards the center of the city, her breath becoming more heavy again. Her mind was starting to hurt and she couldn't help but stop again to take a breath. She looked at her ring on her finger, her soul gem shining slightly, but growing darker by the second. Jak said I had to get to Deltora... She sighed in exhaustion, closing her eyes. But he never explained how....
"Go to Deltora, there you will find Kyoko and Sayaka who will be waiting for you. Ask for Lief, he will help you find Madoka."
Those were his words, and yet, he never said how to get there. And he never said there was a city out in the middle of the desert. You would think that she would get there by now. Homura took a deep breath and let a huge sigh out. But her attention was caught when she heard metal dragging onto the cobbler stone road. She wasn't alone anymore. She slowly stood up on her feet and she cautiously turned her head to the side so she could look over her shoulder, and as she did, she found that she was correct. There was a man standing behind her, his face covered in a mask and his back was arched forward so that his hands were touching the ground. But when she looked down, the part where his elbow should be, there was a blade curving its way down to the floor, and that's when Homura realized that the man had spikes poking from his spine. She stared at him, her eyes cold. All he did was stand there and slurp as if he was drinking something.
She turned around to face him but just as she did, he roared and lifted up his blade arm to gut her. But he only missed when she jumped back with ease and landed back on the ground in her battle form again. She growled as the crazed up man turned its attention back to her.
"I don't have time for you," She snapped. "Leave now and I wont kill you."
The man growled and ran forward towards her but Homura stood her ground and let him come at her. She then held her shield up in front of her and it quickly turned to stop time around her. She jumped into the air over his head and pulled out a gun from her shield, firing a bullet at the man's head, falling back down on her heels then finally starting time once more. As she stood behind him, the bullet impacted into his head and he fell over. She looked over at him and huffed, but then her interests were caught as the body of the man vaporated and left in his place was a floating red orb. She frowned at it, walking towards it and poking it with her finger. "Very odd."
She then heard steps from in front of her and she glared up to find she had an audience the entire time. The two who were there were a girl and a boy, either older or around her age. The girl, who was the only one who had a surprised and a impressed expression, had a blonde color hair, green eyes and pale skin. She was wearing some sort of school uniform underneath a black jacket and she was wearing a pair of black boots to go with it. Her friend however, didn't seem impressed at all. He had somewhat a snow hair color, ruby red eyes and a face that seemed as if he didn't get any sleep at all. He was wearing a black jacket over an orange shirt to cover over his tan jeans with his own black shoes, and on top of all that he had a black headband on his hair.
"Wow! That was really cool!" the girl finally responded.
Homura frowned, standing upright and watching the two. But staring at the girl long enough, she reminded her of a friend. Homura's face soften as she stared at the girl long enough to put a smile on her face. "Thank you." She finally replied.
The girl smiled. "How did you do that?" She asked, curiously.
The boy looked over at his friend and frowned. "Maka..." He mumbled.
The girl's eye widen in surprise and she cleared her throat. "I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself." The girl extended her hand out to Homura smiling. "I'm Maka Albarn."
Homura stared at her, finally taking her hand and shaking it firmly. "Homura Akemi."
The girl, Maka, gave her a friendly smile. "That's my partner, Soul." She replied, gesturing to the boy. "We're students of the DWMA."
Homura stared at them. "DWMA?"
Soul scoffed as he turned his head to look at her. "Oh come on, you know of it too." He said, sounding cool. "You obviously go there if you have those abilities."
Homura frowned. "I'm sorry, you must be mistaking me for someone else." she replied, sounding a bit more harsh.
Maka clapped her hands together. "Well if you don't go to the DWMA, where do you go then?"
Homura looked at Maka. "What do you mean?"
"I mean where do you go to learn all that cool stuff?"
Soul frowned. "And who is your partner?"
Homura stared at them. "I-I didn't...." Her head began to pound hard and she held it in her hand.
"Hey, are you ok?" Maka asked, looking at her with concerned now.
Homura nodded. "Y-yeah... I'm just..." But she transformed back to base form and fell backwards to the hard stone behind. She passed out before she even made contact with the earth, seeing nothing back darkness.Lief paced down the halls, heading towards the throne room. He was summoned by Viva who told him that Jak had returned from Haven City. As he entered the room, he could hear the voices of Kyoko and Sayaka speaking with another voice. He looked up to find Jak and Daxter standing next to a girl that Kyoko and Sayaka were speaking with.
"Jak." Lief spoke and Jak's attention was caught by Lief.
"Lief," He spoke back. He walked towards him and the two grabbed the other's hand. "How goes the search?"
Lief smiled gently. "Well, we found something alright in Spyro's world, but not what we were hoping." He recalled back to when Kyoya went berserk. "Who's your friend?"
Kyoko laughed and smiled. "This is our friend Mami!" She replied for Jak.
Sayaka nodded. "She was the first out of all of us to become a Puella Magi."
Mami looked over at Lief and stepped forward. "Jak." She said, touching his shoulder gently.
Jak looked over at Mami and nodded. his attention fell back on Lief and he rubbed the back of his head. "So, did you meet Homura yet?"
Lief stared at them. "Homura?"
Sayaka and Kyoko looked at them, the same reaction on their face. "You mean the transfer student?" Sayaka asked.
Mami looked at her. "Homura isn't here?"
Kyoko shook her head. "Homura never showed up here."
Jak frowned. "We told her that we would meet her here when we could. Did she not show up?"
Lief stared. "I don't know any Homura... If I did, I would've informed you about this earlier."
Jak and Mami looked at each other worried. Sayaka frowned. "Do you know where she could be?" She asked.
Mami looked back up at Jak, her eyes widen in terror. Jak gritted his teeth.
