it's finally here ... chapter 4..........
Kevin kept thinking about yesterday, he felt weird. Something didn't feel right. Kevin was peacefully thinking while laying down in his bed before hearing a knock on the door.
He got up, leading himself to the entrance and unlocking the door. He swung the door open to see the mailmail (mailman but gay idk) dropping something and walking off. Kevin walked over to he package and got back inside. He looked at the package and it had a note..
'congrats on your promotion!

''Promotion? What promotion?'' Kevin whispered to himself, opening the package to reveal a blue-ish uniform with another note saying 'YOU'VE RANKED UP TO... LB. WELCOME, AND CONGRATULATIONS.' Kevin gasped, loudly, really loudly. He took the uniform and ran to his room to try it on. It fit him perfectly and he was already madly in love with it.
Finally, Kevin could be apart of something. He was excited and scared at the same time.
Well for Vinnie... She was in her room having a meltdown trying to understand why Kevin gave her flowers and a love envelope. Yes, she had opened the envelope, but it didn't have anything... She was trying to keep calm but it was impossible. Sure, she kind of liked the guy but you don't get THAT attached to someone you just met. What is this?? A cringe wattpad fanfic?? Spare me.
Vinnie stood up, stomping her feet left and right, thinking real hard. She paused after hearing the mailman's knock on her door. She opened the door to see the mailmail, Wylan. "Hey, dude! Got anything for me?" Wylan sighs, shaking their head in reply. "No.. Sorry. Have a good day!" Vinnie sighs, waving bye bye at the mailmail as they walk off.
5PM.
It's Vinnie's patrol time.
Vinnie was already at the spot, waiting for the other members. She spots a blue blorb running her way and waving it's arms around. Vinnie tilts her head, squinting her eyes trying to guess who it was. It was Kevin. She felt her cheeks warming up after seeing the individual. "Hi!" He exclaims, he looked tired from running. "You ran all the way here? You had time... Welcome, though." Kevin coughs, sitting down next to a tree as Vinnie looks around trying to wipe the blush off her face.
"So..." Kevin gasps. "When's the patrol startin-" "In 20 minutes." Vinnie cuts him off, she was tapping her foot anxiously waiting for someone else to come so it isn't awkward. Sure, she could handle giving someone a task and doing the task with them but being alone just talking is weird.
"Are you okay?" He questions, making Vinnie turn to him to reply. "I'm fine, just thinking." Vinnie started walking around the meetup area while questioning... Many things... Why did she like Kevin so much? It's not like she's in love with him, it's really not. She feels like there's... a chance with him. She can't explain what she's feeling so she just pushes that thought to the back of her mind.
She finds other people in uniform walking by, she'd wave and welcome them, thanking god that it's not that awkward anymore. "Welcome, we have 15 minutes left. Feel free to eat something or go for a walk." Vinnie sits down, relaxing herself for a few seconds.
She was confused and didn't know what to do, she also felt eyes on her while she looked up to the clouds. Kevin looked worried, questioning himself why Vinnie is acting like that. She looked off. "I got it!" Vinnie whispers to herself, fixing her position and resting her hands on her chin. 'I'm gonna ignore him, it's basically like sleeping a day off when something bad happens. Everything will be okay, just ignore him!' She thought of a "good" idea.
Kevin scoots up next to her, Vinnie starts slightly shivering, praying for another member to come. Kevin opened his mouth to say something then notices that she was uncomfortable, he quickly backs off and goes back to his spot. (what a good boy) "Welcome everyone." She welcomed the members passing by and sitting down. 5 minutes left.
It's time!
"Line up, everyone." She demands, everyone does as told. "Wom!"
Vinnie leads everyone to the usual bunny farm, telling the others to sit where comfortable as she assigns tasks to the solos. Kevin was eyeing Vinnie, noticing that her behavior changes around everyone but him. He'd sigh while hugging his legs and looking down, drowning in his thoughts.
Vinnie looks at Kevin for a second, wanting so bad to talk to him, but she couldn't.
They both sigh, Kevin and his team stands up as Vinnie calls for their names. Kevin and Vinnie share eye contact before quickly breaking it as Kevin lines up with the others.
After Vinnie assigning the task, she waves as the team walks off.
