Operation:Cosmic Grimalkin

Prologue

Stars were glistening within the pitch black sky. A Nebelung-like she-cat was glancing at the glass window,watching all the stars form. Her ocean blue eyes twinkled as her tail slowly thumped on the white floor. Suddenly,a voice was heard as a tom walked in from the robotic doorway. "Hey there,Nuclear! Lookin' at the view from the window like always,huh?"
Nuclear turned around,her ears gently perking up. "Oh..hi,Phantom. Of course I am. The stars are too beautiful for it's own liking." Phantom's tail swished around with ease as he crouched down next to Nuclear. He purred softly as he spoke "..how are the others? Are they doing alright after yesterday's incident?" Nuclear looked up for a few seconds before responding. "Well...most of them are doing fine while others are just...taking their time to recover. However,when I checked on Gadget earlier he...passed away. I thought he was sleeping until I saw no sign of his chest rising and falling." Phantom's ears perked up as he gently hissed. Gadget was his friend and it was unfortunate to see him gone so soon. "No...that can't be! We were supporting and being there for each other for only 7 hours...please..tell me this is a joke.." Nuclear sighed as she looked at Phantom,placing her paws on her puffy long tail. "It's not a joke,Phantom. I am sorry. The cause of his death appears to be unknown.." Phantom was upset,but he shall not cry as Gadget is in good rest. Another cat came in. It was a young tom. He gave his paw a firm lick before trotting towards the two other cats. "Howdy,Nuclear and Phantom! What're you guys doing?" Of course,the young tom was named Mania because of his positive energy. Nuclear turned her body around,looking over at Mania. "Why hello there,Mania. We're just looking at the stars and talking...nothing more,nothing less." Mania leaped next to them,the floor making a metallic thumping sound as he did so. "I heard that Gadget has deceased. Sorry for your loss." Phantom nudged the slightly shorter cat,purring. "It's alright. At least I had time to take care of the timid fella before knowing he passed. He seems to be the first cat that ever died here since others weren't endangered." Suddenly,a meow was heard. Mania leaped forward,trotting towards the robotic doorway. There goes two other cats coming in. They looked..rather uneasy. Mania greeted them regardless. "Oh! Hey guys! Is everything alright?" Xylophone gestured down at Mania,sorta dazed. She then responded with "I don't think Marble is doing well..he's been sheathing and unsheathing his claws for a while now. Me and Lucent don't know what to do." Lucent dipped their head in agreement as their tail went under their belly.  Mania looked at Nuclear and Phantom,tilting his head. "Are you guys coming? We gotta make sure Marble's alright!" Nuclear and Phantom looked at each other then nodded,gently leaping and trotting towards Mania,Xylophone,and Lucent. Nuclear meowed at the 4. "Alright. Let us see what he's up to." And off they go,disappearing into the hallway with the sound of the robotic doorway closing behind them with ease.
