Aaron T's POV
The room was filled with tension from a couple of miscalculated steps from the moment before. The atmosphere was dense and sweaty from hours of practice. None of us could bare to look at each other.
"Last time we're doing this. Ready?" Robaire yelled in anger.
We all got into our positions and waited until we were cued.
"This time no mistakes. 5, 6, 7, 8!" he screamed.
The music started and I looked over at Z who was right across from me with his eyes closed. He wiped his face with his shirt. He looked focused and ready to nail it as always. He took a deep breath and opened his eyes.
The music started and I quickly snapped back into place.
You know what's up You know its us, yeah
It was going well but it lacked energy and Robaire wasn't a fan.
"NO! NO! NO!" he exclaimed for what seemed to be the hundredth time.
-------------------
It was 2 hours after and we were finally done. We got through the whole song without messing up and Robaire finally looked satisfied. Everyone else looked miserable and tired.
"Good job, boys. You can finally go. Tomorrow I expect you at the same time. Au revoir." Robaire dismissed us.
"I'm gonna head out, too. The kids are waiting for me at home" Jesse said.
"Say hi to them for me!" Tae told him.
Jesse gave him a thumbs up and waved us goodbye.
"Exhausting day, huh" I sighed, breaking the silence.
"Yeah, I guess" Z groaned before chugging water.
"Robaire is so obsessed with perfection. I get him wanting the best and being super hardworking but not all of us are as good at dancing as him." Tae complained, slamming his face onto his hands.
"I know man, but you're very hardworking too" I said in efforts to comfort him.
"Yeah, I can see you getting better every practice. You'll get there don't worry" Z reassured him.
"Thank you guys. I'm gonna get rest for tomorrow. Bye bye" he announced with a small sniffle. He gave me a hug and tried to hug Z, who gave him a pat on the back instead. Tae looked a him confused but didn't bring it up. He left shortly.
I continued packing up my things and Z filled up his water bottle.
"Sooooo?" I asked, trying to make it less awkward.
"So, you planning to leave soon?" Z replied.
"Uh, well I don't really have anywhere to go but I guess yeah" I chuckled.
"Wait what do you mean?" he questioned, looking concerned.
"No, nothing just- yeah I am" I answered with a grin.
"Do you need somewhere to stay, T? I have no problem with you staying with me" he quickly offered with his eyebrows furrowed.
"No, I can't do that. Thank you, but no" I responded with hesitance.
"T, if you really do need to you can. Trust me, it's no bother" he assured me.
"Are you sure" I asked.
"Of course" he nodded.
"Thank you so much. I'll finish picking up soon" I muttered, already packing in a rush.
"You don't have to hurry, don't worry" he said in a comforting tone.
I smiled at him in return.
He was being so sweet. I knew we were friends but we were not that close. It meant so much to me and I didn't know how to thank him. Why would he do this for me?
Aaron Z's POV
"I'm ready" T informed me with a smile and his bag over his shoulder.
"Great. Lets go" I responded gesturing outside.
He followed me and we got into the car.
"So um do you live with your family? Would I be bothering them?" he questioned me with worry.
"I live with my brothers, but don't worry they have their own rooms and won't be that bad" I answered calmly.
"That bad?" he chuckled with a nervous breath.
"They're chill just they're older brothers so you know it's their job to bother you" I said.
"Well, I'm the older brother in my family so I wouldn't know" he confessed.
He'd always been very secretive about his family. He was finally opening up. I was so proud of him and I was so glad he trusted me enough.
"Really? I didn't know you had siblings" I mentioned to him.
"Yeah I do. I have a little sister and last time I saw my mom she was expecting" he explained quietly.
I had never seen him this serious before. I wasn't gonna ask him about 'last time'. It seemed to hurt him to talk about it.
"What's your sister like?" I asked with interest.
"She's a great kid. Her name is Cici and she's 13. She wants to be a doctor when she grows up and her favorite color is purple" he answered.
"You sound like a great brother, you know" I commented.
"Hm thank you" he grinned with appreciation.
I simple smiled.
We reached the building and made our way up to my apartment. I opened the door to all the lights off. I guess my brothers went to sleep.
"I'm gonna make us some food. You can shower while I do that. My room is the last door to the right, if you need clothes just open my closet" I explained to him.
"Perfect. Thank you so much" he said.
He left to go shower and I started making noodles.
As I finished serving his plate he came out with my pants resting right to where his v-line was visible, shirtless showing his slutty waist and slightly toned abs and his wavy brown hair I'd never seen without a hat before was dripping with water. God he looked so sexy.
"It looks and smells so good!" he exclaimed excitedly.
"You too" I smirked in a joking tone.
Shit why did I say that.
He laughed and took a bite.
"This is amazing! Thank you for all of this I really appreciate it" he thanked me once again.
"Yeah of course, no problem. I think I'm gonna go shower then sleep. Whenever you're done or whenever you want, you can take the other side of the bed" I informed him.
"Your bed?" he asked.
"If you want to of course. I just don't have anywhere else you can sleep in" I clarified.
"Oh ok. Thank you, again! You're great. You're a great friend" he told me.
I forgot to him I'm just a friend.
