Hi my name is jakob and for years I have been tormented by these horrible nightmares. Every night I see the same thing over and over only with slight differences. The nightmare is of this horrible grotesque beast that keeps repeating do it over and over again but I don't what the "it" he keeps repeating is or why he wants me to do "it". Every time I ask he responds with "in time you will know" and the the beast slowly fades to darkness after charging at me while letting out only what can be described as a roar that would startle the mightiest of animals. But always right before he gets to me I wake up screaming as if I had been shot. I tried visiting a therapist but it was no use all he said was it was caused by stress and to take some time off of work. I did but it was of no help the nightmare continued and eventually started to get worse. Till one night I was able to make out it's appearance. The beast was what appeared to be 8 feet, he had the snout of a bull and his teeth were jagged with 2 fangs that could be compared to those of a tiger, his claws long with a hook at the end. The beast was the most horrific, grotesque abomination I could have ever imagined. But one night when he charged I didn't wake up in time and he slammed me against the wall knocking the mind out of me. It was clear he didn't want me dead just weekend but I didn't realize that at the time. When I woke up I had no visible wounds but my rib area was in a slowly increasing amount of pain. So I went to the doctor to see what is wrong. Soon after my ex rays were taken and were checked. He walked in the room and said I had 2 broken ribs and I couldn't believe it. So when he asked what had happened I just said I was going biking and while going down a hill my chain broke off and I hit a tree dead on. By the look on his face I could tell he didn't believe me for a second but he said ok and gave me some bandages and pain killers. After returning home I called my wife who was away to visit her mom. I didn't tell her about the broken ribs but instead said I was doing fine and that I haven't had the nightmare as of recently so I wouldn't worry her to much. She said she would be home in 2 days I responded with a I a I can't wait for your return. So we said our good byes and hung up. 2 days after that she was finally back but my ribs weren't fully recovered so I had to keep hiding the fact I had broken ribs from a unknown cause. A couple daus past and the dreams went back to I guess you could say the normal and I woke up before he got to me every time again. So I started to ask why, why was he able to hit me, what was it that caused him to torment me every night. With those questions in mind my wife started to notice that I was being quiet and not going shopping with her or going out on our usual nights. So I decided to surprise her with a nice dinner and act like I was planning it the whole time and it worked. She believed that I was planning a fancy night out and that was why I have been so quiet as of lately. But one day I woke up and she was gone I assumed she went to the store to get some stuff to make breakfast as a thank you for the wonderful night out. I was wrong.

When I lay
To rest
After a hard days
Work.
The white cotton
Sheets,
So soft
And dazzling.
I sleep
And see this,
This thing.
Tall with talons
Like a tiger,
But so big.
It's knocks me around.
My ribs crack and break under his heavy blow.
I wake up screaming
And scared.
The doctor
Says I need to
Take some time.
I don't.

We lay together
On the
Dazzling
Pure white sheets.
She was away
Leaving the bed
Alone and
Cold.
We lay
And talk.
We sleep
And the dream
Follows.
Again,
Alone with
The beast,
Fending for my life.
It is a dark
But very
Warm room.
Look up
To see hell.
Look down
To see earth.
I wake to the
Lone
And
Cold
Bed.
