Chapter 2: Rivals

No One POV

The next day after Delta's return, everyone at the guild was either brawling, drinking or looking for jobs. As for our protagonist, he was sitting alone at a table relaxing. He did find the consistent fighting annoying but he ignored it...until someone threw a table at him, which he caught. But, there was one person who always seemed to get on his nerves.

Erza: WHO DESTROYED MY CAKE?!

Delta: 💢

Erza: GRAY, PUT YOUR CLOTHES ON!!!

Delta: 💢💢 It doesn't bother you Delta...

Erza: NATSU, PUT DOWN THAT TABLE!!!

Delta: 💢💢💢 IT DOES NOT BOTHER YOU DELTA.....

Erza: CANA STOP DRINKING IMMEDIATELY!!!

Delta:...........Fuck it.

He then picked up the table that he was sitting at and threw it at Erza. The table smashed against her head and knocked her into a wall. Everyone stopped what they were doing as soon as this happened. Erza emerged from the rubble with a pissed off expression on her face while everyone was praying for Delta's survival.

Delta: Shut. The. Fuck. Up. Red. Head.

Erza: What was that?

Delta: YOU ARE LITERALLY THE LOUDEST ONE IN HERE! AND ALL FOR A STUPID STRAWBERRY CAKE THAT CAN EASILY BE REPLACED?! ACT LIKE YOU HAVE SOME GODDAMN SENSE AND GO GET ANOTHER ONE!!!

Erza:.....YOU DARE SPEAK TO ME THAT WAY?!

Delta: I DO AS A MATTER OF FACT, YOU DAMN TOMATO!!!

Guild: 😨

Erza: You and me. Outside. Right now.

Delta: Bring it on Tomato.

The entire guild all head outside to witness the battle between the two since they are the strongest in the guildhall. Delta begins to stretch his limbs while Erza requips into her Flight Armor. The two then charge towards each other and Erza slashed one of her swords while Delta blocked it with his arm. They then started exchanging blows with one another where some of them connected and others were either blocked or parried. Delta then dodged one of Erza's attacks and knocked her back with a magic-coated punch. After she stopped sliding, Erza threw one of her blades towards him, which he dodged. But Erza knew that he'd dodge and used this opportunity to land a punch to his gut, which made Delta slide back this time. He then blasted Erza with a stream of magic, who blocked it with her blades. Suddenly, Delta then used his Oblivion Claw to land a clean blow to her chest, which wasn't protected and knocked Erza far back.

Delta: Not bad Tomato. I'm slightly impressed.

Erza: Don't patronize me. We both know that you're holding back....as am I.
