I GROAN SOFTLY as I shift in my sleep. My soft pillow is touching my left cheek as I can hear the sound of low whispers echoing.

Suddenly, the pillow moves. What the fuck? Since when do pillows move? I ignore it since I'm probably only hallucinating.

It moves again. Okay there's gotta be a problem here. The most important one is the fact that I don't remember having a pillow.

I jolt awake noticing that I had been resting my head on a shoulder that belonged to no one else than Logan Black.

He was gazing at me peacefully, thinking I was still asleep.

I immediately lift my head from his shoulder and not a second after he turns away from me and looks at the window. Before he could turn away, I noticed a mix of surprised and embarrassed expression on his face. I could swore I saw him blush.

Why did he let me sleep on his shoulder? And why the fuck was he staring at me? Maybe he was just figuring out how to get me off his shoulder without waking me up.

"Oh, you're awake?" Rachel stops whispering to Blake now that she sees I'm no longer sleeping.

I rub my eyes, "Yes, how long was I asleep?"

"Almost fortyfive minutes." Blake answers for her, meaning we still have about a quarter before we arrive to our destination.

"Yeah and you were sleeping on Logan's shoulder the whole time." Dylan chimes in with a wink and a smirk.

I stare down at my feet and I feel a blush creeping out on my cheeks but I don't say anything, neither does Logan. Thank fuck.

The remaining of the drive passes on quickly. I do small talk with Blake, Rachel and Dylan. Logan isn't participating in the conversation but I can tell he's listening to it.

Fifteen minutes go by like nothing and we're soon parking on a parking lot next to the main beach.

The car comes to a stop, Blake turns the engineers off and I jump out of the car. A pleasant summer breeze hits my face while I feel the sunlight already burning in my skin.

It's early September but summer hasn't passed completely yet. People are still going to the beach since the weather in California is still quite summery.

Jenny's car is already parked a few parking spaces after ours which means they are at the beach and have found a spot to set all of our stuff at.

Scarlet brought four deckchairs for us. Dylan brought two deckchairs, Brianna brought five deckchairs and an umbrella and Logan brought two umbrellas. We didn't bother bringing any snacks since there were many places around the beach where we could buy food or drinks. It was hard fitting everything in the two trunks but thankfully both of them were pretty large, hence why we chose these two cars to drive here.

We have to carry eight deckchairs while the other carried three umbrellas and three deckchairs.

The three boys are carrying two deckchairs each effortlessly while Rachel and I are trying very hard not to drop the one deckchair we were carrying each.

In our defense, we also have to carry our tote bags. Which are very light but still.

We reach the beach, my feet dipping in the hot sand. I struggle to drag them without my flipflops accidentally getting off so I decide it's best to take the shoewear off.

It's way easier to walk through the sand now but I can feel my feet burning more and more with every second that passes.

We spot the rest of the group among the crowd and we walk over there. Well, I run because my feet are about to burn in flames if they stay in the hot sand any longer.
