A tale of two foxes

Chapter 1

"Wake up!" Yelped a bright orange fox pouncing on a black and orange fox "hhhhh not now Luna , I'm still tired" she said as she rolls over and groans, "wake up Jax!!!" Says Luna, "fiiiiiiine" Jax groans, she stands up knocking Luna off her she chuckles as Luna falls to the floor, "HEY!!!!!!" Squeaks Luna, "oh you're fiiiiiiiiiiine" chuckles Jax she looks at her paws, *in Jax's mind* they hurt. she had small cuts all over her paws, she winced in pain as she walks out of their den, "wait up!!" Yelps Luna! They begin to walk through the mildew, then Jax stops dead in her tracks. "What..? Whispers Luna. When all the sudden she hears it...BOOM! A gunshot went off grazing Jax. As jax pushes Luna  forcefully into the grass, then she jumps down herself. "RUN LUNA" Jax yells. Luna begins to run to a nearby burrow. Jax slowly running after trying her hardest to run as fast as she can. The heavy footsteps trembling the ground behind them. Then, just like that they're gone. No more footsteps, just the babbling creek and birds, Jax stops and gasps for air. "Oh..my..gosh.." she says gasping through words. Luna walks up to her and crouches down. "Get on, quick" says Luna. Jax climbs on her back and Luna begins to run, through the thorns and and damp grass. She jumps up a ledge and almost falls, but claws her way up and darts into their den. For Jax, it all fades black....she wakes up a few hours later her leg where she got hit wrapped in leafs. Loona laying next to her crying. "H-hey luny" stutters Jax. "J-JAX!!!!!" Exclaims Luna, happy that Jax is ok, she hugs her and Nuzzles into her neck. "I-I thought you were gonna die!! But I did the bandage and medicine just how you taught me!" Says Luna. "Good job!!" Jax exclaims. "Cmon!" Jax says playfully standing up. "Wha-?" Luna says confused, Jax hops up and starts wagging her tail. She playfully growls at Luna. Luna gets up and pounces on Jax as they begin to play fight, Jax's giggles as Luna playfully bites her ear. Jax looks outside and it's pitch black, she turns back to Luna "time for bed" Jax's say sternly, "but jaxxxx" Luna whines. "right now." Jax says firmly. "Fineeeee" Jax whines and hops up to her ledge and curls up, Jax also hopping up to her ledge and laying down. "Love you, night night luny" Jax says softly, "love you too jaxy, nighty night" says Luna drifting off to sleep. The next morning Jax stretches waking up, as sunlight floods the front part of the den. She yawns and hops down from her ledge, quietly walking out of the den, she slowly walks around the trees looking around, she looks around the trees and sees a chicken...and pounces on it! Piercing it's neck with her sharp teeth, she trots away back to the den. She walks in and sees Luna sharpening her claws. "Hey Lun, what ya doin?" Jax said hiding the chicken. "Nothing just sharpening my claws" said Luna "what day is it again?" Asked Jax covering up a giggle "Saturday?" Luna said confused. "Ah yes...your 16th birthday!!" Jax squeaked happily pulling out the chicken and nudging it towards her. "eeeee!!!" Luna squealed. "You like it?" Jax asked quietly. "Yes yes a thousand times yes!!!" Luna exclaimed! "Yay!" Jax said. Luna ate the chicken in a matter of seconds and Jax giggled. A few hours pass of playing and messing around. "Wanna go exploring?" Jax asked, "mhm!" Luna yelped. They walk out of the den and walk in the direction they rarely go which is to the right, stumbling down the steep hill with jagged rocks. They get to a fork in the road where they choose to go left, they walk for about a mile and reach a beautiful lake with a field of flowers surrounding it. Luna runs and jumps in the lake while jax rolls around in the flowers and chases rabbits. Jax eventually jumps in the lake, pawing at fish the sun begins to set, "oh we gotta go, the hunters will be here soon" said Jax so they begin their trek home, they slip into their den, where they hop onto their ledges and cover their den with grass so the hunters don't find them. "Hey lun?" Jax says "yes?" Asks Luna  " we have something to do tomorrow...it's important..ok?" Jax says "oki!" Says Luna and they both drift to sleep, they wake up in the early hours of the morning and Jax sits down Luna on the den floor. "Ok, the thing is when we turn 16.......we can.."
