-What your wearing-
I awoke to a sudden boom from outside, jolting me upright in bed. Without hesitation, I dashed outside to investigate. There, I found Kai clambering out of a wrecked car.
"What the hell, Kai?" I exclaimed, utterly bewildered, standing before the tall, brunette boy.
"Um, good morning, princess. I know this looks bad, but I was testing out how fast I could go and... well, um, this happened," Kai admitted awkwardly, a nervous smile on his face.
"You crashed a car?"
"Yeah."
"Because you wanted to see how fast you could go?"
"Uh-huh."
"Kai, do you have everything we need to get out of here?"
"Yes."
"Then start breakfast. I need a shower, and you need to stop crashing cars," I sighed, turning to head back indoors.
Kai obeyed without protest, though he couldn't quite explain why he felt compelled to comply.
-One Hour Later-
After my shower I look through the guest bedroom I have been staying in for clothes. After a while, I find some girl clothing in a box in the corner of the closet. I opened the box and instantly hated all the clothes inside but I have no choice unless I want kai to see me in a towel. So I choose an outfit and put it on.

-The outfit-
I descended the stairs and entered the kitchen, where Kai was just finishing up cooking.
"Okay, I'm done, and we really need to get out of here because this is completely not my style," I announced, hopping up to sit on the countertop behind Kai. He turned to look at me.
"I think you look great," he chuckled softly.
"Oh, stop it, Kai," I retorted as he placed pancakes on the table.
"I'd prefer if you sat at the table and ate," he said, turning towards me. His expression turned to concern as my complexion suddenly paled. "Regan, are you okay?"
Before I could respond, I slumped forward, and Kai reacted swiftly, catching me before I hit the ground. "Regan, what the hell? Wake up!"
Kai's POV
I finished cooking breakfast, relieved to have something normal amidst the chaos. Regan appeared in the kitchen, looking unsettled.
"Okay, I'm done, and we really need to get out of here because this is completely not my style," she declared, perching herself on the countertop behind me. I turned to face her.
"I think you look great," I said with a small laugh, hoping to lighten the mood.
"Oh, shut up, Kai," she replied as I set the pancakes down on the table.
"I'd prefer if you sat at the table and ate," I suggested gently, turning back towards her. But then her face drained of color, and she looked like she might faint.
"Regan, are you okay?" I asked, my concern escalating as she suddenly collapsed forward.
Without a moment's hesitation, I lunged forward, catching her just before she hit the ground.
"What the hell, Regan? Wake up!" I pleaded, fear gripping me as I held onto her, hoping for any sign of response.
Regan was limp in my arms, her usually lively eyes closed, and her breathing shallow. Panic surged through me as I gently laid her down on the kitchen floor, cradling her head.
"Regan, come on, wake up," I urged, my voice cracking with worry. I checked her pulse—it was there, but faint. "Damn it, Regan, wake up!" I repeated, more urgently this time, as if sheer willpower could bring her back.
I frantically glanced around the kitchen, trying to think of what to do next. Should I call for help? Should I try to get her to a hospital? My mind raced with possibilities, but I couldn't afford to waste any more time.
"Please, Regan," I whispered urgently, gently brushing a strand of hair from her face, willing her to respond. "You can't do this to me. Wake up."
My mind raced with the urgency of our situation. We needed to get out of here, and fast. She knew the way, or even if she didn't, I couldn't shake the feeling that I just couldn't leave her behind. It wasn't logical, but the thought of abandoning her felt unbearable.
