~Part Three~

"We'll call you every night." My dad said ruffling my hair and smiling weakly. I nodded. It was all I could do to keep from crying. "I love you Hay." He said kissing my forehead. "We'll take good care of her Mr. Taylor." The lady at the front desk assured. As my dad stepped out into the snow, leaving me alone in this new place. I watched the car pull out through one of the windows. And I had a sickening feeling that it would be long time before I saw either of them again. The woman cleared her throat which made me jump and drop my bag which spilled all of its contents across the white tile floor. Before I could bend down to pick anything up a cold hand caught my wrist. "Leave that for a moment." The woman said. All the cheerfulness had drained from her voice. And she held my wrist with crushing force. "Now I'm Catherine. And no you may not call me Cathy." She said cooly. "This is your class schedule and the dorm expectations." Catherine handed me two laminated pieces of paper that were covered in writing. "All rules will be followed. Or punishment will be administered. Do I make myself clear? This is your only warning." I nodded in shock at how quickly her attitude had changed. "Good now pick up your things and get up to your room and make yourself decent before dinner. We can't have a washed up crying girl now can we?" With that Catherine turned on her heel and went back to her desk. I stood there, too stunned to move. My knees buckled and my whole body seemed to shake. What had I gotten myself into? "Hey. Better pick that up before the other brats get back. Or they'll steal all your shit before you can even blink." I looked up at Derrick who now had a cigaret in his hand. "Um yeah okay..." My voice was even quivering as I dropped down to my knees and began gathering up all of my things. Like my headphones, phone charger, and notebooks. "Ha too late. Now your fucked." Derrick scoffed as the bells on the front door handle chimed. I looked up to see a group of girls who were walking into the lobby of the dorms. Their stares locked dead center on me. "She new?" One of the girls asked Catherine. "Have you seen her around here before dumbass?" Another girl snapped. "Of course she's new. Just look at what she's wearing. Definitely not from around here." The group of about ten girls erupted into whispers and giggles as if I wasn't even there. I was about to start crying when I heard another voice pick up. "Hey princesses mind moving away from the front door?" The crowd parted as if someone had fired a fun and two girls stepped through as if they owned the place. They were... Different from the girls that had just spoke to me. They hardly have me a glance as they passed me and stepped into the elevator. After the doors had closed all the other girls rolled their eyes. "Fucking outcasts. Ruined a perfectly good time." A couple of them whined as they gathered up their bags. "See you at dinner Death." My backpack got kicked across the floor which sent papers flying and pencils rolling under chairs. I already knew it was going to be extremely difficult to survive this school
