{Chapter 25}
It wasn't long before Daisy went to sleep and Melinda stayed in the hotel until she was needed. She sat on the edge of the bed and pet her daughters head, when she heard the hotel room door open. Melinda walked out of the room to see Spencer was there, so she relaxed and leaned against the wall.
"How is she?" Spencer asked her as he placed his bag down on the counter.
Melinda sighed, "She's ok, just went to sleep. I need to talk to you about something."
Spencer nodded and gestured for her to talk making her sigh.
"Have you thought about kids?" Melinda asked crossing her arms staring at him with wonder
Spencer's eyes widened at her question before answering, "I have. Why?"
Melinda tilted her head towards where Daisy was sleeping, making Spencer connect the dots and his jaw dropped.
"Is she-"
"We don't know, yet, for sure. I'm gonna run to the grocery store and grab a couple tests and have her take them." Melinda tells him before walking out of the hotel room
She closed the door and turned to see Aaron there making her jump lightly, "Jesus! Don't do that!"
Aaron chuckled at her scared state, "I'm sorry. I just wanted to come check on Daisy. Is she alright?"
Melinda nodded after calming down, "Yeah, she's fine. However, I think she's pregnant, so I'm gonna head to the store. I'll be back."
Aaron frowned and grabbed her arm, stopping her, "At this late at night?"
Melinda turned to him with a confused look, "It's not even that late out."
"At least let me come with you. It's not safe out here in the middle of the night." Aaron suggests hoping she'll let him come with
Melinda sighed as she texted Spencer telling him what's going on, "Fine."
Aaron smiled and gestured for her to lead the way.
Novice Agent
The two walked down the sidewalk as it was walking distance from the hotel. They walked in silence as a gust of wind blew, making Melinda shiver due to leaving her jacket in the hotel room.
Aaron noticed and looked at her, "You cold? You want my blazer?"
Melinda shook her head and hugged herself as they walked into the store. Melinda sighed glad that there was heat in the store, before heading to get the pregnancy tests and other things. Aaron's phone goes off making him check to see it was David. He turned to Melinda and placed a hand on her shoulder making her look at him.
