August & Zolee in MM.

Zolee

I parked across the street and grabbed my Michael Kors tote before stepping out of my Mercedes. I walked to the other side and put 4 quarters in the parking meter.

After checking for traffic, I quickly walked across the street to "Broadway Dance Center."

I opened the door and stepped inside.

"Hey Zolee, I haven't seen you here in a while." The front lady smiled at me

"Yea I've just been a little bit busy." I smiled back.

"What kind of room do you need today?" She asked

"Just a usually practice room. I'm teaching a private."

Teaching dance is something that I loved to do. Whenever I had the chance I had private lessons for kids and sometimes even adults. I've choreographed for dance competitions, performances and even music videos.

After she handed me the room key, I took the elevator to the second floor. After I made it in the room, I set my bag down, took out my MacBook and hooked it up to play music.

I started stretching while I waited for my client to get here.

Today I was working with Charlize Glass. She's a really talented kid from LA. She works in the dance industry so she's been in music videos, tv shows, movies and she even performed at award shows like the mtv movie awards.

I work with kids like her all the time so this wasn't a big deal. I also travel to LA, ATL and other states sometimes to teach master classes and workshops. It's bring in a lot of money and I really enjoy it.

****August******

We landed in New York yesterday night and I got to see the pent house I would be stay in for the next 2 months.

The city is beautiful and I can tell I'm really gonna like it here.

My Record label "Def Jam" moved me and my team up here so we can finish working on my first album.

Right now we just came from a meeting and we were going to see the place where we were gonna be rehearsing too get ready for the promo shows I'll be doing.

We pulled up to a big building and parked the rental escalade behind a nice Mercedes.

It looks exactly like my white one. Except this one was tricked out. Blacked out windows, rims and everything. I can tell the owner dropped racks on it.

Mine wasn't all that because it's just my backup car until I get my Range. Probably after my album drops.

The driver came around and opened the door. T my bodyguard stepped out. Then my manager Amy, and my co-writer Sean. Then me followed by my Dj, and the rest of my band.

We made it in the building and we were met my a white lady.

She introduced herself as the building manager and then started giving us a Tour.

We toured the first floor and headed up to the second floor. We walked by rooms with people taking dance classes.

Mostly little kids taking ballet and a bunch of white people doing yoga and shit. We also passed by some rooms with people playing drums and piano and all that.

One room caught my attention and made me stop while everyone else walked ahead.

There was a darkskin girl she looked like she was around my age. She was tall but a couple inches shorter than me.

I couldn't take my eyes off shawty. I watched her through the glass window. She was facing the mirror and super focused on her moves.

The song "All The Time" by Jeremiah was playing.

I studied her every move as she was grinding to the beat. She dropped low and got in the splits not missing one beat still.

She did some crazy flexible leg thing as the song came to and end.

After the music stopped she's flipped her hair and walked over to the opposite wall.

She bent over and picked up her water bottle taking her time coming back up. Almost like she knew I was watching.

After a while she slowly turned around to finally face me....

We made eye contact and I watched her smile quickly drop as my mouth flew open.

Almost like I wanted to say something but nothing came out.

We stood there frozen, I wasn't breathing and I can tell she wasn't either.

After what seemed like forever I was interrupted by a little girl tapping me. I looked down and still not breathing.

"Excuse me" she smiled at me.

I finally closed my mouth and stepped to the side to let her enter the room.

She ran in and ran over to Zolee.

"Hey baby." she spoke still not taking her eyes off me.

"Are you ready to dance?" She asked the little girl finally looking away from me.

The little girl nodded and sat her bag against the wall.

I watched as Zolee turned around and walked over and turned on some music.

"Flawless" by Beyoncé started playing

"Yung where you been!? We all looking for you"

My Dj spoke as I finally took my eyes off her.

"My bad, here I come." I turned around and started walking away but not before I took another look at Zolee.

Her and the little girl were now both on the floor stretching. She was laughing at something the girl had said but I couldn't hear over the music.

I caught up with the group again as we continued the tour.

Throughout the whole thing I could only think about Zolee.

Why didn't I talk to her? I should've said something.

As soon as we made eye contact it was like everything that happened between us didn't matter anymore. All was forgiven.

Until I saw her laughing with the little girl. Was that her daughter? She looked a little too old. Her child would have to be 3 or 4 by now and that girl looked too old.

Fuck it. She wasn't worth it back then and she not worth it now.

As mad as I was about our past. I'm glad to see her doing well. She looked real good. And she always said she wanted to be a dancer and all. And she loved working with kids. She looked like she was doing everything she wanted.

I'm glad to see that she not struggling and she moved back up to the east coast where she always wanted to be.

I tried to shake her out my head but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't.

I just wish she didn't make the mistake she did. And I know I broke her heart but she broke mine too.

I was really in love with that girl. And I trusted her with everything in me.

I know it's not like her to do some crazy reckless shit like she did. But I guess people aren't always who they seem to be.
