((I would personally suggest playing the music, Home from Undertale for this chapter. I love the song and feels like it would fit with the vibe.))
Gonner was off today. He was acting super weird. He eventually let go of you, and let you walk to the couch again with him following after you. "Care to tell me what's going on?" You asked. "Yer not ready. Promise me, it'll be hard to hear." Gonner said. "Fine, tell me later then. " you said, getting the remote from where he had been sitting. You turned on your favorite movie, as you both just watched those most of the day. "Aye, do it be okay if I look for a cat outside?" He asked. You gave him the pass for today, "just don't let anyone see you." You said. Gonner nodded. He slid open the backdoor, and headed outside, you noticed it was getting cloudier. Close to raining actually. You kept watching tv. It had been almost an hour or two. All you knew is that time goes by ridiculously slow. You heard taps on the window, thinking it might've been Gonner at first. You looked back to see water on the windows. It was raining apparently. You had noticed Gonner wasn't in the house by now. "He'll be back soon, he doesn't like water anyways. "
And so he did, around 30 minutes after. "Arg, it be pouring out there." He said, coming in and closing the door. He sat next to you on the couch. "I did find one,and ye know what happened next." He said. You nodded with a slight smile. You yawned. Gonner took notice. "Yar, would it be that yer still tired from last night?" He asked. "Yeah, it was rough." You stated. You both watched TV most of the time, hearing the water plop onto the windows. It was calming. You turned on some music around 6,7 pm. It was calming video game music, as always. You wanted a fire to start going, so you told Gonner you would be back. "Where are ye going?" He asked. " out back to get around 7,8 pieces of wood. I'm gonna start a fire in the fireplace so we're warm." You said, opening the back door to a cold drift outside. It was still raining as you rushed to the shed. You did have firewood! So you grabbed 4 logs each time you went out. You came back to the shed one more time to get some tiny pieces of wood that you lit on fire to make it start easier. You grabbed 4 of those and rushed inside, locking the door behind you. You were wet, just a bit though. The wind from outside cooled you off. You grabbed a lighter and sat by the fireplace, you put two of the smaller wood pieces into it. You grabbed three more bigger wood pieces, placing them so they were ontop of eachother. You grabbed one of the tiny sticks and lit it in fire, tossing it in on the wood. It caught fire as you got up to get a blanket and pillow to sit by it. Gonner seemed to take notice and soon sat down next to you. It was nice hearing the rain, faint music playing above that gave you faint nostalgia. The fire crackling as the warm color of golden yellow filled the darkened house. You yawned, wanting to stay like this forever. You looked at Gonner, who was at the verge of passing out. You told him to just go sleep on the couch, which he did. You stayed up a bit more though. You watched the fire crackle and shut your eyes eventually. You heard the music play. It was nice hearing such a nice melody play in the distance. You wanted to sleep soon after. You got up to get a glass of water and splash it at the fire. It died down as you moved the wood around so you knew it was damp enough to not catch fire again. You saw the light fade, as you soon crawled to lay down on the couch again. You got all warm that night, hearing the music play tonight. You had s great feeling inside of you, something you couldn't feel as much before. You were so calmed, so happy in that moment. You passed out soon after, having a faint smile on your face. You heard the music fade into the distance as you fell asleep into a deep slumber.
