It was an Accident

It was a mellow summer afternoon, the sky a bright blue with barely a cloud dotting it. The sun was in full view, hitting the grass covered in gentians and dandelions. Nearby the fenced cliffside was a mostly unutilized tennis field, with the net slightly overgrown with ivies and flowers. Little polygonal creatures hopped around in it, inspecting the foreign material.

Four figures, two of them tall and the other two small, made their way to the overgrown field. One of them looked quite disgruntled with their current situation.

Those four figures were Bianca, MechaKaro Sakira, Dansuki and KT-Hajay 047.

"C'mon, 'Jay! It's good to mellow out sometimes!"

"Don't fucking call me that, young lady."

Bianca huffed. "You're so hot-tempered," she crossed her nonexistent arms. "You gotta work on that mettle of yours!"

"Like you even know how to." Hajay simply scoffed.

He turned his attention to his girlfriend Dansuki. "How're you feeling about this?" Dansuki just shrugged and smiled awkwardly, simply tolerating all the tension in the air. Hajay felt a twinge of guilt, and decided to keep his cool a little more.

MechaKaro was strutting proudly, the only thing on his mind being, well, tennis.

The four then finally arrived at the field, and started their preparations. MechaKaro suggested to challenge Hajay to a tennis match, which Hajay, while mentally vehemently denying the challenge, reluctantly accepted it as to not make a scene. As to make things easier for him, he taped a tennis racket right on his sword arm, making MechaKaro and Bianca look at each other in disappointment, while Dansuki thought it was the cutest thing ever.

Hajay positioned himself in the back area near the fencing of the cliff, while MechaKaro went on the lane near the big oak tree. Dansuki sat near the fencing behind Hajay so that she would catch the ball if it went over the fence.

"Ready to get squashed like a bug, squirt?"

"I think you'll be the one getting squashed."

Hajay simply turned towards Dansuki.

"All set, my lady?"

"You bet i am, sweetie!"

Hajay and MechaKaro got in position, and as Bianca threw the ball to MechaKaro, he hit it almost immediately. Hajay parried it and tossed it back to him, and it caused a chain reaction that only broke occasionally due to MechaKaro hitting the ball a little too hard, with Dansuki thankfully catching it at the nick of time and passing it back to Hajay.

Hajay couldn't admit it, but deep down, he was actually kind of enjoying this, but it was probably just because his lady was assisting and cheering him on.

Bianca momentarily paused the two. "I'll be going back to my place to fix a few things," She put on her goggles. "I've been procrastinating on important projects. I'll be back!"

After that, the match resumed, and just when Hajay could truly enjoy things...

MechaKaro, full of determination, hit the ball a little too hard, and it went straight towards Dansuki.

"DANSUKI NO-"

Before she could even react, she was knocked aback, causing the feeble fencing behind her to break and for her to fall off. Hajay tried to grab her hand, but the grip immediately slipped. He could do nothing but watch as his girlfriend tumbled and tripped over the steep cliff, quickly deterioriating as she made her way to the bottom.

A few minutes later, a loud, metallic thud echoed from the bottom. Down there lay poor Dansuki, who was most certainly cold and dead.

Hajay was in shock.

MechaKaro was terrified out of his mind.

"H-Hajay- I-It was an accident-"

Hajay snapped back at him with a cold, dead glare.

"YOU MURDERED HER."

MechaKaro stepped back, visibly shaking. Hajay lunged at him, pinning him down and holding his sword-hand right on his neck.

"HER BLOOD IS ON YOUR HANDS, SAKIRA."

Before MechaKaro could even speak, Hajay made a quick, blunt slash to his neck. He disconnected his head from his neck, leaving no room or time for him to even make a sound. 30 seconds passed. He was gone.

Hajay looked at what he'd done.

He was morbidly proud of himself.

But before he knew it, Bianca came back.

"Hajay...?"

He flinched, and looked right at her.

"Bia..."

She stared at the body below him, in disbelief.

"...It's not what you think... he killed my lady and-"

"GET AWAY FROM ME!"

She looked back, and ran for it. She was clearly going to tell someone. Hajay was in disbelief. What he did was good. He killed her. Why would she be scared of him all of a sudden?

But he knew what was going to happen.

He'd probably die too, dismantled at the hands of authorities.

So he knew what to do.

Hajay looked at the broken fencing, where Dansuki once stood, and brought & tossed MechaKaro's remains over them. After that, he wheeled to the edge of the cliff, looked down, and willingly tossed himself over the edge.

When Bianca led the authorities to the field where the incident happened, all they could find was a stain of black oil and broken fencing, where the remains of the three robots laid.

After days of studies and inspection, the case was ruled out as a murder-suicide and no arrests were made.

Bianca was never the same after what happened.
