An ear-splitting screech, unhuman. I grimaced and covered my ears quickly. I looked over at Felicity, my eyes squinting in pain. She had her ears covered as well, her breathing irregular. I looked around quickly, it seemed to affect no one else.

"Ahhh!" I groaned. Greyson glanced at me worriedly. Felicity started stamping her foot angrily.

"We have got to get out of here!" She hissed. I grabbed my purse quickly, my coat, and ran out of the room. Felicity quickly followed. The screech softened, but it was still distinct. We were able to think at least.

"It's coming from the woods out there." she said suddenly. I glanced at her, but I knew she was right.

"Are we really gonna be as stupid as to-" She interrupted me. "Yup."

I sighed. "Knew it. You know, we're gonna get in so much trouble for this. Thank God that Zac disabled the cameras. Aaaaaaaaand, here comes Mrs. Whitmire. RUN!" I yelled, and we started down the hall, to the nearest door.

"Crap my books!" I exclaimed. Felicity pulled me through the door, the November air nipping at my skin.

"Who cares?! Let's go!" she continued pulling me down the stairs, the screeching getting louder and louder. She let go and we pushed our legs. Faster...Faster...Faster...

By now we could hear the alarm the school has for trouble go off. Heh, who would've thought that the two of the three smartest girls in the grade would be causing it? I looked back to see a blond head running towards us, easily catching up.

"Felicity!" I yelled. "Hurry! Greyson's after us!" She sped up and we ran across the bus lot, already panting. The screeching was now unbearable, but we kept running. My caramel colored hair whipped past me. We jumped over the small ditch and started trampling through the woods. Brambles and vines covered the ground and we repeatedly tripped over them. By now we could hear police sirens; the police station isn't far from here.

Trees blocked my view of the afternoon sky, well...the clouds anyway. The screeching got louder and louder, and closer and closer. By now, we couldn't see the school at all. I heard a racket behind us and tried to run faster. Then the trampling stopped. Me and Felicity shared a quick look and continued running, by now running out of breath.

"Felicity.." I stopped, gasping for air. "Let's stop for a minu-" I was cut off when a huge hand slapped over my mouth. My eyes shot  open to see Felicity blocking the arms of a built man in slacks and a black button up shirt. I furrowed my eyebrows in concentration and quickly swung my fist backward, feeling it connect with someone's jaw. He groaned in pain and I took the chance to get out of his grasp. Felicity brought her knee up and connected with the man's...area, and he fell  to his knees. We stood back to back in defensive positions, the screeching ringing in my ears. I looked around frantically to find the source. The men quickly got back up as if not hurt at all, and they seemed to multiply; all of them look like businessmen.

"That's odd." I panted, my fists shaking. Felicity nodded, but didn't say anything. Instead, we started circling, waiting for a time to strike. The men crowded forward, and it seems as if there was even more than before. Felicity screeched from behind me.

"Felicity-" my words were cut off by a man's hand.

"Shut up!" he hissed, his grasp tighter than before, making it hard to breathe. I tried biting his hand, but to no avail.

"Night night, princess." then I was knocked out.
