Just the Two of Us

Y/N POV

The next three months were...amazing! Everyday from 6am to 6pm, Mirko and I trained and worked out together. Mondays and Thursdays we worked out arms and chest, Tuesdays and Fridays we did back and shoulders, and Wednesdays and Saturdays were for legs. Sunday we rested at some nearby hot springs and hunted and prepared food for the week. It was a rinse and repeat system that allowed me to gain 30 pounds of muscle

But aside from the actual training, me and Mirko also grew really close. We had grown a very close and personal friendship

She told me about her early life, about how she was born in Hiroshima to mother Carrie and father Patrick. She went to a hero high school there, graduated, and immediately became a hero. She's currently the number 8 hero in Japan, despite working solo

I learned about her past and her relationship with her parents. She got along fairly well with her mother but not so much her father. He was against her becoming a hero because of the danger, but Mirko became one anyway

In school, she was treated differently because she was a woman and was often looked down upon because of it. After learning about her and her life, I got a new perspective on heroes and why people strive to become heroes

I told her about my past in Brazil and the events that got me to where I was today. I told her of my friends at UA, like Mina and Kirishima, about my encounter with Seinikku and the attack on the USJ, and about my fights in the Sports Festival.

Overall, she was really supportive and understanding of my struggles and pain but also assertive and aggressive in my training and our free time. She was...quite the woman

But above all else during my training, I remained deadset on getting strong enough to take down Seinikku, and I think I was there

On the last night of our time together, I went to the hot springs a little ways away to relax after our last workout session

"I've gotten so much stronger in my time here" I sigh to myself, "I can't fuck this up. I won't"

"It's not normal to talk to yourself yknow" I hear Mirko say

I was surprised to see her here because usually we go to the hot springs separately so her being here was unusual. I turned to look at her but immediately look away when I see her in nothing but a bear fur towel

"M-Mirko! What are you doing here?" I ask, covering my eyes as she lets down the towel and gets in the water

Mirko POV

I love him

I want him

I was so dedicated to my studies and training in school and that dedication carried over into my work as a hero, so I never really had time to pursue a relationship with anyone. But spending 3 months straight with Y/N, alone, really showed me that I wanted a relationship...with him.

He was determined and driven to achieve his goals, he had a good sense of humor, and he seemed to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders. But among all this, he still had a good heart and was an overall kind person. He would always make sure I was taken care of first, whether it was making food for me first, allowing me to bath in the hot springs first, or finding me medicinal herbs and remedies when I got sick. His dedication to training and working out was also very hot and attractive

I decided to test the waters with him by going to the hot spring with him and seeing how he reacts

I stepped in the water while he covered his eyes and it was honestly really cute seeing his macho and chiseled demeanor change once I got naked in front of him
