The arranged marriage

Chapter 8 (Amelia's point of view)

Amelia entered her luxurious room where awaited for her Anastasia, her loyal maid, always there by her sides. On the royal bed, layed multiple big puffy dresses, each one more expensive and beautiful than the other one. 

-Good afternoon Princess, the maid said as she bowed.

-Hello Anastasia! Shall we get this over with?

-Right away princess Amelia. so, the first dress is this beautiful sage green dress, with multiple layers of cloth to make it more puffy and give a more royal look. From some feedback, I;ve heard the corset is very comfortable. As you can see, There is no sleeves, which I think would look perfect on you. Would you like to try it on?

-Of course!

It took a few moments to put the dress on, since it was so detailed and Amelia didn't want to break it. Once it was on, the maid arranged it a little bit and told the princess to go look in the mirror. Amelia took a few steps and posed infront of her detailed mirror. She starred at her reflection for a while. It was certainly beautiful, but it didn't feel right. She knew how much that ball meant to her father and she didn't want to disappoint him. 

-It looks ravishing, but it doesn't feel right, I apologize.

-No need to be sorry princess! We have tons of other dresses, you'll find one that feels perfect on you.

Anastasia shows a few other dresses, which Amelia all tries, but again it doesn't feel right again. Finally after a dozen dresses, Anastasia shows her a exquisite dress. A long blue dress, with multiple layers of cloth, it has falling short sleeves, the corset is absolutely beautiful, in all lace. The final touch, which made Amelia obsessed with the dress was the long swirly line  of velour butterflies, that did the contour of the dress. When the princess tried it on, it felt right. She felt beautiful, she felt good. She spinned making the dress twirl. 

-You look incredible, Anastasia said, her hands covering her mouth.

-I love it! Thank you so much Anastasia, the princess said as she turned to her loyal friend.  

She removed the big puffy dress with the help of the maid and went outside to the garden, for her horse riding lesson. She walked from the flower field, where all the colours popped and the air smelled good. She observed every flower and couldn't help but smile to herself.. It was so beautiful. She arrived at the stable, where her horse Vanilla awaited her. I think that you can guess what the horse looked like by her name. 

After her riding lesson, Amelia ate dinner, which was a bit awkward since nobody knew what to talk about. Afterwards, she changed into a night gown and read till she fell asleep. What a day, I wonder what it'll be like at the ball tomorrow. I can't wait to show everyone my beautiful dress. And there she dozed of into a deep slumber.
