That evening I didn't sleep, I paced around the room I was to stay in. I couldn't shut my eyes, I felt too on edge to sleep, I didn't want to risk anything. Any branch that snapped outside made me jump. My mind was focused on the duals, in an arena surrounded by people wasn't a new experience for me, but my last encounter felt like a very long time ago. Internally I hoped that my skills were still up to standard. I hadn't spoken to many of the others since the incident with Dream, I think their personal matters were not my business, even though it grew my curiosity. Another thing on my mind was who else I would be meeting, I wasn't scared, but I wanted to proceed with a side of caution.

I sat on my bed, contemplating my thoughts until I heard a knock on my window. My eyes widened as I grabbed my sword and whipped my head around to the window. A blonde hair, green eyed boy stood at my window, I hadn't ever seen him before, but he seemed to know me. Until I heard his voice.
"Hey Y/n, can you let me in?" The now familiar voice said.
What the hell was Dream doing here? I was told he wasn't allowed in this premises.
I walked cautiously to my window, opening it slowly, letting him in. He gave me a smile, walking in and sitting on my bed.
"Um, what are you doing here exactly?" I asked him, placing my sword against the wall.
"Well, I'm not sure myself, I had this inclination that you needed something."
I gave him a strange look, then again I took this opportunity to ask some questions.
"May I ask some questions?"
"I'm happy to answer them." He smiled.
"To start, why is there this rivalry?"
"Well you can call it a declaration of war, if things go south of course. It involves these discs, which hold significance if used in the correct manner, only thing is they don't work in a jukebox, so to have them, we also need to figure out how to listen to them, but Tommy and Tubbo are very protective over these discs. It's like a political view, me and others, some that you have met are against having a political stance, we want simply to take control. Wilbur however is thinking of independence, building things to show power."
I was very shocked by the depth of this rivalry.
"These discs, who has them now?"
"Well Tommy does, but whoever wins the duals will be able to keep them, if it comes to a tie, we have one each."
"But don't they matter to Tommy, can't you just let him keep them?" I asked.
"Well we could, but there's no fun in that really." He chuckled to himself.
"I see, um, and this declaration of war, do you think you will be ready for the chaos that will proceed to happen?"
"I am yes, I know my goal, but I will have to warn you, at some point during this time, you will have to pick a side, It may be tough but you need to understand your life may be at risk if you don't, I know you said you don't need Allies, but trust me, even I need them. For your own safety, pick a side, or you will be killed." He stared at me dead in the eye, the green in his eyes pierce through me.
I nodded slowly, not tempted to continue on.
"Now my turn, for questions.  Where did you come from?"
"The north as I said, from a small village where I was raised, I had undergone special training to be the villages protection, unfortunately power and corruption caused the village to go to ruins. I had to leave, so i trekked far until I found this place, the welcoming wasn't particularly warm, but I dealt with it.
"Ah I see, do you think you will stay here?"
"I have nowhere else to go, I can deal with some conflict, if need be." I gave a small smile.
"I like the attitude, it's inspiring."

We continued to speak, it gave me a good perspective of his characters, obviously I wasn't too trusting yet, but at least I knew I had a friend, well I think. I questioned who I would sit with during the duals tomorrow. I didn't want to create more conflict than necessary. Maybe my combat skills would persuade a certain party to gain my trust, unless they felt threatened of course. Dream made me feel calm, but I had a feeling he had a hidden agenda behind his words.
