designed around the original argevollen the new unit is much more powerful as the only similarity between it and the original argevollen is it's appearence the astray is armed with several systems created thanks to the culmination of technologies from other worlds
the astray operating system or the AOS is a modified version of the franxx operating system used in doctor franxx's franxx models, but it is significantly different the real of the cockpit is the usual control chair with two two joysticks one each along the arms of the unit at the front of the cockpit is a platform reminiscent of a motor bike designed around the guren seitens cockpit
the unit can be piloted by a single pilot however in order for this until to truly shine the strive neural system SN-system must be activated by both pilots syncing them together as one, the pilot at the rear using an interface headset derived from the EVAs the frontward pilot would connect directly into the unit it self via wires that connect directly into the users stomach and arms derived from the gundam frames alaya vijnana system
the system is then controlled from the pilot in the back of the cockpit, the SN-system sends pleasure through the pilot in the back at the cost of pain from the front, the more the connection is increased the worse the pain gets and the more the pleasure becomes
the SN-system is not required for this machine to function, however it cannot be used to it's fullest potential unless the system is activated

neo-V.A.R.I.S.
the neo-V.A.R.I.S. takes the form of the C7-anti-material-VARIS but colored black, and the argevollen is equipped with two of them stored as the units hips in it's closed state, when draw it's handle extends to form it's normal form in this form the weapon fires green beams similarly to the original but these beams are pure energy and not physical projectiles like the original
the full-burst mode is omitted from the neo-V.A.R.I.S. since it was unnecessary do to the weapon being able to fire as fast as it's pilot can pull the trigger as proper semi-automatic weapon
the weapon has two forms, normal mode, and burst mode, unlike previously, this burst mode takes the form of it's hadron mode, meaning it's purpose is firing higher powered beams
the burst mode has three settings and the weapon extends into it's full burst mode
hadron mode: which is nearly identical to the super VARIS's hadron mode
magnum mode: the weapon's magnum mode is equivalent to the beam magnum from the RX-0 series and can hold a max five rounds similarly to the beam magnum unlike the beam magnum the weapon uses the shells similarly to that of a shot gun, once fired a shell is ejected from the outer-side of the weapon the weapon can be loaded with more magnum shells to fire more rounds of the magnum mode unlike the beam magnum the neo-VARIS can be used by other weaker units as their are inertia dampeners on the weapon to mitigate most of the recoil
buster mode: the buster mode of the neo-V.A.R.I.S. is equivalent to that of a buster rifle in terms of power, unlike the magnum mode, the buster mode has a MAX of three shots the only means of getting more is to recharge the weapon which takes time, and the weapon would need to be recharged on a ship or base, however the two neo-V.A.R.I.S.s can combine into what is called full impact mode in this form the power becomes that of the twin buster rifle
dragoon system: the dragoons equipped to the argevollen are never actually equipped to the unit itself and are always separated they are powered by GN-drives and has the appearence of the legend gundams large dragoon pods and the unit is equipped with twelve of them not only do these dragoons have a beam gun attached to them but they also can create GN powergates similarly to that of the 00 quanta, this power gate can be used to either transport an object long distance or supercharge an attack
"clarent" anti ship sword X2
the clarent is simply a black version of the excalibur anti-ship swords but the beams are in green instead of pink, these are stored on sub arms on the units back right next to the energy wings of the unit
beam katana X2: these are stored in the knees of the argevollen, and are similar to a beam saber except the blade is curved and colored green
energy wings: the unit is equipped withe energy wings derived from the guren seiten and lancelot albion the wings themselves are an emerald green
osiris: an AI equipped to the argevollen, similarly to chamber, from the machine caliber, of which the AI is derived from, osiris has a female voice
