Cordell is on the job with Micki in her new truck. They are out the front of a strip club on a stakeout, watching the outside, waiting for a lady.

"I like it, it's nice; it's still got that fresh car smell," Cordell says.

Cordell places a bobblehead on the dashboard of Micki's car.

"Okay, what is that?" Micki says with a confused look on her face.

"What do you mean?, Look at him; It's for good luck. Always smiling. Never judging... So, tell me... you activated all the fun features yet?" Cordell says while he flicks the bobblehead to make it shake.

"Nope, not yet...Kind of busy, you know, on this stakeout and all." Micki says.

"Yeah, but not like it's your first rodeo".

"It's the first one as a Ranger."

Micki pulls out her camera and takes photos of the front of the nightclub.

"Well, you're right...This is a...a big step for us.." Cordell says

"Is it, now?" Micki says

"Hmm. Yes, and now we can discuss your choice of beverage," Cordell says as he points to Micki's drink.

"Can we just keep our eyes out for Toronto?"

"We're here to track Torreto's movements. Not take her down...I'm pretty sure she's not making an arms deal while getting the old bump and grind.
We should be using this time to get to know each other...Uh, you know, favourite movies, the teams you root for, middle name...Michelle... Sarah Ramirez," Cordell continues.

"Mm-mm," Micki responds

"No... Michelle Rachelle?" Cordell asks

"Michelle Rachelle?" Micki questions

"Michelle Rachelle.Okay, all right... I'm just saying while we surveil Torreto, we can learn a few things about each other, you know? Bond."

"Okay. How's Stella doing?"

"Wow...Uh, Stella and me, we are in a good place, I think. Uh, she has a court date coming up for the thing."

"Possession of marijuana."

"Yes. And I would like to live in our good place a little bit longer."

"No one benefits from the easy route."

"Yeah.Right..So, do you speak from experience?"

Micki rolls her eyes at Cordell's comment.

I get a call from the strip club asking if I could work at the bar tonight as they are short-staffed; I know I could do with the extra money, so I say yes

I get a call from the strip club asking if I could work at the bar tonight as they are short-staffed; I know I could do with the extra money, so I say yes.

I start at 7:00 pm as the owner wants me to become familiar with how things run.

It's 11:00 pm, A few hours into the shift, and I am comfortable, "this is fine," I say to myself.
