3rd pov
"Do you like me?" Sasuke asked as he held onto Naruto.
"Sasuke...This is inappropriate. Please sit down and we could talk about this." Naruto held Sasuke back into his seat.
Sasuke didn't do anything else and just sat there.
"...When I was a kid...I use to have a crush on my babysitter. I'd love it when she would take care of me. She would hold me tight. One day...I saw my brother...with her...in that way." Sasuke looked up to Naruto.
"She was older than him by 10 years...one day when they were together my parents caught them and they charged her for grooming...later that night I asked my brother what that was. Obviously he couldn't bring himself to tell me. But he said he loved her so much that he didnt care about her age." Sasuke explained as he looked at Naruto.
"...Sasuke...Don't you see? She was 10 years older that him. She did something that's illegal. She groomed a highschool student who was under the age of 18. There's a difference between loving...and being blind." Naruto explained.
"Then are you saying my brothers feelings weren't real?"
"I'm saying he wasn't thinking about the consequences of his and her actions." Naruto stated.
"...so if they did love each other...what kind of love would you call it?" Sasuke asked.
"...the bad kind of love...the blind one. Don't let anyone drive you...or drive someone else in it...unless it's right and both parties love each other very much." Naruto answered. Sasuke wasn't too thrilled about that answer.
"Uzumaki-San...what you say....is not what I think of you...I really like you! You're kind to me and you treat me like I'm your friend!" Sasuke argued.
"Sasuke I do that because you're my patient and it's my job to help you through what's going on." Naruto defended. Sasuke stopped and straightened himself up.
"So...you only think of me as your patient...even after what I did with you." Sasuke walked over to Naruto and kissed him. Naruto blushed as he backed away and got up.
"...I'm glad that you told me something today...our time is up...I'll call you a cab and I'll text Kakashi-san to let him know you're done." Naruto pulled out his phone.
"Tch, when...When are you going to stop treating me like I'm a kid!" Sasuke yelled.
"...until you're not one..." Naruto looked at him with serious eyes. Sasuke backed off as he let that ring in his head.
Not long after Sasukes ride came to pick him up. Without saying anything Sasuke left Naruto's office. Once Sasuke got home he went straight into his room and went to sleep. Kakashi never questioned him. Instead, he cooked all of Sasukes favorite meals. He cleaned up and relaxed until Sasuke came back down.
Time skip
"Well well. Look who's back from the dead!" Kakashi teased as he saw Sasuke in his pj's.
"What time is it?" Sasuke asked.
"Its evening. I made all of your favorite meals and they went cold! I'm here trying to be a good father and I don't think you're getting the hint." Kakashi sighed.
"...sorry. I'll eat them all. Hey Kakashi...Can I get a job?" Sasuke asked.
"Eh? What brought this up?" Kakashi asked.
"...well...I'm 18 and graduation will be soon. I wanna start providing for myself. Get a small apartment of my own maybe." Sasuke explained as he microwaved his untouched food. Kakashi looked at Sasuke and sighed heavily.
"Sasuke. You know I can't let you just move in by yourself. What if you pass out from too much stress? I won't be there to bring you to the hospital." Kakashi stated.
"I know...but I was just thinking that since I'm an adult now. I start carrying my own weight." Sasuke sat down.
"...Sasuke. you're not out of school yet. Plus if you're going to carry your own weight. Then first you need a good job that pays well. Then you need to save up for college or university. Plus money for transportation. Get a vehicle of your own. Not to mention your apartment bills and taxes. And on top of all that you gotta buy and cook for yourself." Kakashi listed as many things as he could to make Sasuke change the subject. Sasuke only glared and Kakashi as he took a bite out of his now hot food.
"I can do all of that just like everyone else. I am an adult! I'll even sell a few of my things." Sasuke insisted.
Kakashi didn't like the attitude Sasuke was showing.
"Are you hearing yourself? If you try to compose yourself too much it'll lead to more stress! Don't you take your health issue serious?!" Kakashi argued.
"Why should you care? You really don't beleive that I can take care of myself?" Sasuke talked back.
"My answer is no! You are not moving out! Once you know what being an adult actually is. Then I'll reconsider!"
"Tch! I don't need to listen to you! You're not my father!" Sasuke shouted.
Kakashi flinched as he felt his pride go down. Sasuke saw that he had hurt Kakashi's feelings. Sasuke put his head down and slowly ate more.
"...you're right...you don't need me. Go on. Go be an adult. I'm tired." Kakashi slowly got up and scratched his eye bandage. He then walked upstairs to his room and closed the door silently. Sasuke sat alone at the dinner table as he realized what he did. He sighed heavily and slowly ate his food.
Meanwhile
Naruto sat in his desk as he sulked about Sasuke.
"Naruto-kun!" Sai popped his head in.
"Hey Sai..." Naruto greeted rather blandly.
"Heh sorry about today! I got a little carried away teasing that young fella. He looked so angry when I first came in so I thought I'd turn that frown upside down!" Sai smiled as he waited for Naruto to laugh. The pale man then looked over to his friend and saw that he wasn't amused.
"Hey you good?" Sai asked.
"...Sasuke lashed out on me and I think I said too much." Naruto stated.
"So what? He's just a client. If he doesn't want our help then why bother. I mean. If he truly wants help....wouldn't he be telling you about his problem? I read your report...doesn't look like you got too far. I mean. Your payments aren't too high with him." Sai explained.
"...I want to apologize. I need to go see him." Naruto blushed as he looked for his keys. Sai looked at the blonde very close as he gathered the peices together. Sai then stared at naruto sharply as he got very serious.
"Uzumaki-San...don't get any ideas." Sai said in a low voice.
"Eh? What do you mean?" Naruto asked.
"...we've known each other for years. Don't act stupid. Don't go to Sasuke. Or else...he will find out sooner or later. And I'll be the one to see it once again. Like last time." Sai's black orbs stabbed Narutos as he felt his spine shiver.
With all that said, Sai walked out and close the door. Naruto was left in his office alone. Remembering past events that lead up Naruto's greatest fear.
"Him."
