As I walked past Lorain she said something that made me stop

"What did you just say?" I asked.

"He will never go for you you want to know why?" She asked

"I'm not after anyone here unlike you so maybe mind your own business and stop acting like a whore. Do your work and shut the fuck up," I said and went into the office I saw more paperwork and finished it just as Matteo and Alex came into the office.

"Did you take a break?" Alex asked as he closed the door

"Yes, a two-minute break. Here is more paperwork that can be filed and the once you need to sign off on," I said and placed the paperwork on Matteo's desk

"Arora, go home it's almost 2 pm. Go get your kid and go home," Matteo said

"My father already picked her up at one pm and I'd rather be working. It keeps my mind busy," I said

"Then go for a coffee run for a while and get some doughnuts too," Matteo said

"We drink black coffee with no sugar," Alex said

"Okay," I said and took the money Matteo was holding before leaving

I went to the coffee shop nearby and ordered the coffee and the doughnuts

Matteo POV

When Arora left I looked at my brother and then rolled my eyes as Lorain walked in

"Sir I'm sorry to interrupt I thought you'd be alone," she said

"Leave!" Alex sneered

"I only wanted to give you this it said high important," she said and gave me a box

I opened it and saw a note that was filled with blood stains

'My one true love. I promised you I'll steal your heart I hope you like the present it's that old personal assistant you had.

I lifted the hatch and saw it was a human heart. Lorain suddenly passed out and I snickered

"What is this girl crazy?" Alex asked

"Who Bianca or Lorain?" I asked

"Bianca dude she was the one who killed that lovely assistant of yours. What else has she done? And another thing is what would happen to Arora? If that bitch even touches a hair on her head I'll kill her" my brother said making me raise my eyebrow.

"Are you in love little brother?" I asked

"No but Felix and I have been hanging out a lot and he told me about her. She feels like a sister to me Matteo," Alex said

"Chill I'll handle Bianca. She won't touch your sister," I said smirking.

"And neither will you. You're going to keep your player hands to yourself. That girl has been through a lot and she doesn't need our lives to complicate hers even more. And certainly doesn't need another man in her life. She had a daughter. And I know for a fact you aren't ready to be a dad so stay away from her," Alex said

"Sure bro whatever you say," I said and laughed

"What happened to her?" Arora asks as she came back in with the coffees and doughnuts

"Put the drinks down and look," I said and Alex glared at me

She did it and once she saw the heart she looked at it carefully

"Cool is that really someone's heart?" She asked

"Yeah cool right?" I said and she nodded her head while Alex slapped my head before taking the box.

"I'll handle this and thanks for the Coffee," Alex said and left with his coffee and the heart

"Should we try to wake her?" Arora asked me

"It's so peaceful," I said and smiled as she shook her head and went to Lorain

She shook Lorain awake and then asked, "Are you okay?"

"What happened?" Lorian asked

"You saw a human heart and fainted. The police already took it," I said making Arora look at me with confusion

"Oh okay," Lorain said

"Here let me get you in a cab and get you home the day is almost over anyway," Arora said

"I'm fine on my own, thanks," she snapped and stood up

She left and Arora just shrug her shoulders and turned around to see me in front of her

"Whatever you saw today didn't happen okay?" I asked her

"What happened?" She asked making me smirk

I grabbed my coffee and sat down at my desk again. When I was finished with everything I looked up and saw Arora still working.

"Go home now. It's 7 pm," I said

"Sure just need to finish this," she said and I saw her holding a letter that looked familiar to the one my dad had in his closet

"Give that," I said and she gave it to me

'My dearest old friend our enemies are getting closer. I write to you in hopes that you'll find this. My brother has just married again and has now a stepdaughter who's a cute little girl.

I want you to protect them at all costs. They do know about our lives in the mafia but my brother swears that he'll never be in this business. The girl is now his priority to keep safe.

If I die tonight I want you to help keep them safe. I'm calling my last favour. Protect my family.
