Oh Lord, I'm done! I've just finished packing my suitcase for our short trip. My friend and I were going to a small village in Poland. She has a family there and we can stay here as long as we want to. She told me there's a lot of nature and the landscape is incredible. I've never been to Poland, but I believe her. I'm sick of Rotterdam. I've been living here since I was born and it's so crowded and loud here. I can't wait to arrive somewhere where it's all calm and safe. Yohana will pick me up at 8am tomorrow.
We arrived at the airport just in time and everything went fine. I'm kind of scared of flying, but I'm even more scared of being bored in my hometown. The view from our plane was amazing. I was admiring the sky while I was listening to my favourite podcast in Romanian. I've been learning that language for a year. Most of my classmates decided to learn French or Spanish, but I'm not like the other girls. I wanted to prove everybody that I am different. Romanian sounds nice and it's not that hard, at least for me. I also know French quite well, so it has helped me a lot! These languages aren't the same obviously, but there are some similarities. In my opinion, French is very overrated. It doesn't even sound as romantic as some people imagine. For me it's more like someone's choking me (I wish somebody did that so bad 🥵). So that language reminds me how lonely I am. Romanian hits different - it's so soft it takes my ears over the moon.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have begun our descent into Katowice. Please turn off all portable electronic devices and stow them until we have arrived at the gate. In preparation for landing in the city, be certain your seat back is straight up and your seat belt is fastened. Please secure your carry-on items, stow your tray table, and pass any remaining service items and unwanted reading materials to the flight attendants. Thank you." well, here we are in Poland. Let's start the adventure!
We caught a train and arrived to Wisla a few hours later. The place was wonderful and peaceful! I couldn't stop smiling when I walked into the cottage. My room was small, but cosy. I could enjoy the forest from the window. That was definetly one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited.
A few days passed by and I decided to open my Tinder app to get to know someone who is close to us. I wanted to meet someone who lives there and could show both of us the area, and then I saw HIM. He didn't look like a local guy, but it seemed like he was Romanian. Well, maybe I'll get to know the Romanian language more than the area, I thought and texted him.
Julga: Alo, salut :)
Andrei: Salut!
It turned out he was really nice and sweet, however he didn't have enough time to meet up, which made me sad. He was busy getting ready for some competition or something. Damn, I should have started with a pick-up line...
"Aye, Julga! Would you like to see how people jump on skis? I know it's weird, but it's a quite popular sport in Poland. My uncle gave me two tickets!" said Yohana. I agreed. I didn't have anything else to do anyway.

FanfictionThe sunshine woke me up that morning. I slowly opened my eyes, but the light was blinding me. Or maybe it was him? I'm not sure, however a few seconds after I could see anything I heard him saying "good morning iubirea mea". Well, it's not just a "g...
