(Y/n) wakes up and gets out of bed, she sleepily looks in the mirror and silently mumbles "god it's the first day of school and I still look like a mess" she giggles to herself and walks to her room shower

3 minutes later

(Y/n) walks out of the shower with a towel and drying her hair. She takes out an outfit of her choice and dressed up quickly, she glanced at herself in the mirror and grinned "looking good" she muttered before running out of her bedroom door and grabbing her bag. She took an apple before heading out and walking to her high school.

As she arrived at school

As (Y/n) walked through her school gates, she noticed a boy picking up his books from the floor. She quickly runs over to him and helps him up while giving him his last fallen book. The quiet boy mutters a small "..thank you.." before turning to walk away but (Y/n) took his tapped his shoulder and smiled "What's your name? Im (Y/n) (L/n)! Im actually new here!"

The boy smiled but how unnoticable it was. He replied back, his voice almost unhearable "I am.. Ruto Jiroshi.. N-Nice to meet you.." he nervously extends his hand akwardly which (Y/n) happily taked and shakes. "I'm also new here.. would you care to walk around together..?" Ruto asks shyly before stating quickly "A-Ah! Im sorry I must have scared you with the sudden request.. it's completely fine if you dont want to.." (Y/n) shakes her head and smiles

"Not a problem at all!"

That sentence is one that changed her high school life, forever.

After that, the two started hanging out much often. (Y/n) had been in denial but she had been catching feelings for him after being friends for 2 months.

It was november 22nd, it was a rather cold day. The previous day, (Y/n) and Ruto had planned to meet up at the school gates.

At 7:24 (Y/n) arrived at the school gates where Ruto stood, obviously waiting for her "Ah (Y/n)!" The boy ran over to the freezing girl "H—H—Hi R—Ruto, I d—didnt know it would be t—this cold.." (Y/n) complained as Ruto chuckled "Here you can have my Jacket" Ruto smiled as he placed his jacket on (Y/n)

(Y/n) nodded and smiled "T—Thanks alot R—Ruto" despite the coldness she managed to blush slightly as  they walked into school.

More months past..

More days flew by...

And now it was almost the end of the school year.

Time flies no?

This day, (Y/n) made up her mind. She will confess her feelings. Today, the last day of school

It was 5:36 pm, she had texted him to meet her in the cafe they would meet at often. She wad starting to grow anxious as he might not have arrived but her worries melted away as soon as he saw the black-haired boy walk into the cafe

She waved at a table and Ruto noticed, He walked over to the table and nodded "What's up (Y/n)?"

"Ruto.. I need to tell you something"

"What will he think of me after this..?"

"This past year.."

"Do I deserve someone like him?"

"..has made me so happy"

"Does he even like me back?"

"I've been wondering, why? Why am I so happy when im at school with you? Why am I so happy when you give me attention? Why.. did I keep that bracelet you gave me 7 months ago?"

"I kept asking myself, Why? Why? Why?"

(Y/n) smiled and finally admitted

"Because I love you.. please.. please tell me you feel the same way"

(Y/n)'s worlds started to fall apart when Ruto stood up and silently mumbled

"Im sorry.. L—Lets just stay friends.."

Ruto quickly ran out of the cafe, leaving the poor girl there, lost and heartbroken

Some years later..

(Y/n) has graduated High school and was now starting college at a prestigious school. Ever since.. that.. happened, she had completely thrown herself into studies and stopped interacting with anyone.

She was happy and excited for her first day of college, she took a deep breath and walked into the gates of her college campus. She had bravely walked in until she saw....

"N—No.."

She turned away from the boy picking up books and ran to the back of the school "oh god no.. why here..." she cursed to herself as she tried walking into the huge building from the backdoor. As she reached her classroom she sat on her desk and sighed in relief until she saw.. Ruto.. walk into her class

"Fate isnt on my side.. huh.." she looked down onto her book, trying to avoid any unwanted attention

She silently prayed that he didn't notice her but her prayer fell upon deaf ears as he spoke up quietly

"(Y/n)?"

She gave up and sighed as she looked up at him "..what.." most unexpectedly he lunged towards her and hugged her so tight she almost couldn't breath "R—Ruto..!" She exclaimed as he kept hugging her,

"Im sorry.. im so so sorry.. please forgive me.. I was so blind back then.. I didn't realize my feelings until so later.. (Y/n) I love you too.." Ruto admitted as he held her shoulders tightly. (Y/n) smiled and said

"Took you long enough~"
