"You seem unhappy, (Y/N)...Are you alright?" Rengoku asks. He sat across from you on the floor, Pip lightly pawing at his knee. You turned your attention to your father figure, before nodding.

"I'm ok. I'm just a bit tired, I guess." You responded.

"Of what?" Rengoku picked up Pip, setting her onto his leg.

"It gets sad being in here all the time. I love it here, but sometimes being in the same place all the time gets suffocating." You sighed guiltily. You didn't want Rengoku, or any of the others, to think you didn't like it there or were ungrateful.

If anything, you couldn't be more thankful for the family you had now. But, being in the Butterfly Mansion almost all the time grew depressing, you felt like you had no room to grow. Rengoku hummed in thought.

"Well then, I have a solution!" Rengoku suddenly beamed. You blinked in confusion.

"I have heard that there is a music festival in a neighboring town tomorrow night! If you promise to get plenty of rest tonight and tomorrow morning, I will let you stay up extra late so we can attend!" Rengoku smiled. You seemed to think, before an excited smile came to your face.

"Really? You promise?!" You giggled. He nodded.

"I promise!" He repeated himself.

"Thank you, daddy! I promise I'll sleep lots tonight!" You yelled excitedly. He laughed, reaching over to gently ruffle your hair.

The next night, Rengoku held your hand as he lead you to your destination. Rengoku had gotten you a cute outfit to wear, this being a fiery red kimono with white flowers. He even got two flowers to put into the band of your new hat, (which was red with a black band) these flowers were white and red. The closer you grew to the town, the louder the music became. Eventually, you found yourself in front of a gate with paper lanterns hanging from it.

"Woah..." You muttered quietly, staring at the lanterns in amazement. A brief expression of amusement crossed Rengoku's face.

"This way, sunflower! I'm sure there is a vendor that sells lanterns like that, I can get you one." Rengoku gently gripped your much smaller hand. You let out a soft 'Ok!' and continued to follow the male.

Soon, you were in a crowd with Rengoku. Your innocent (E/C) hues sparkled in bewilderment at the sight around you. The town was illuminated by paper lanterns, casting a soft yellow glow upon most things in the area. Loud music could be heard from multiple bands in the area, however the sound of one instrument in particular caught your attention.

The person playing this instrument was an elderly man, his instrument looked like a small guitar. The older gentleman stood within a vendor's booth, a few small guitars like the one he played were displayed behind him. Rengoku caught you staring at the male, interest obvious on your face.

"Would you like to go see what the nice man over there is selling?" He asked you. You looked up at him, before nodding wordlessly. Rengoku smiled, leading you over to the booth. The elderly male looked up from his instrument as two people entered his peripheral vision.

"Good evening, sir! I apologize if we're disturbing you!" Rengoku started. The man smiled, shaking his head. His wrinkled face showed nothing but kindness.

"Don't apologize, young man! You and your daughter are causing me no issues!" The elderly man waved his hand dismissively. Rengoku froze upon hearing the word 'daughter'. Is that really how it looked? He understood that you saw him as your father, but he didn't think others would believe he was your father. Rengoku then grinned, his heart swelling with more pride than he thought imaginable.

"Thank you, sir! My daughter here seemed curious about what you were selling, so we came over to investigate!" Rengoku explained. The man nodded his head, seeming pleased.

"I see! And what's your name, little lady?" The man asked. You blushed, looking down towards the ground for a moment.

"I apologize, she's a bit shy." Rengoku laughed, reaching out to pick you up so you could see better.

"My grandson is the same way, no need to apologize. Anyways, I sell ukuleles! They're string instruments, similar to guitars." The man explained. You nodded, your gaze turned from the man, to a ukelele he had in the back. It was primarily dark purple, but had a bright blue outline of a crescent moon in the lower right corner, and a bright yellow outline of the sun in the upper left corner.

"Well then, I would like to purchase one, if you wouldn't mind! I believe she may have fun learning an instrument, and we can learn it together! Isn't that right, (Y/N)?" Rengoku looked over at you, a wide smile on his face. You then nodded your head.

"Well take your pick then, Ms. (Y/N)!" The man stepped to the side. There were a few other ukuleles, but the celestial one stuck out to you the most. You pointed at it.

"Can we get that one, please?" You said quietly to Rengoku. He nodded his head. The old man nodded as well, a smile coming to his face.

"Ahh, so you like the Sun and Moon Ukulele? Not a bad choice at all, little lady! It was one of the first ukuleles I ever painted!" The man mused, gently picking up the ukulele and wrapping it in a strange paper. He then placed it into a bag as well.

"How much will that be, sir?" Rengoku, reached into his pocket. The old man smiled, shaking his head.

"Keep it, there's no need for money." The old man smiled. Rengoku blinked, seeming confused.

"Are you sure, sir? You said you painted this yourself, so I should at least pay you for your efforts!" Rengoku countered.

"The happiness of your daughter is enough payment for me. I don't paint for money, I paint to make others happy. Besides, you're a part of the Demon Slayer Corps, aren't you? Think of it as a way to say thank you for your bravery." The old man pushed the bag towards Rengoku daintily.

"I appreciate it, good sir! Thank you very much!" The Flame Hashira picked up the bag.

"Thank you, mister!" You smiled softly, waving at the old man. He waved back, his own smile showing on his aged face.

"Have a great night, you two!" He bid you farewell, sitting down to begin playing his ukulele once again.

When you got back from the festival, you got ready to go to bed rather quickly. When Rengoku came in to tuck you into bed, you asked him a question.

"Do you really consider me as your daughter?" You asked. Rengoku went still, before nodding.

"(Y/N)." He began, resting his hand on your head.

"The moment you began to see me as your father, you became my daughter. I love you to the moon and back." Rengoku smiled down at you, leaning in to give you a gentle kiss on the forehead. You smiled, throwing your arms around him.

"I love you more, daddy!" You stated. Rengoku shook his head.

"I love you most. Now go to bed, sunflower." Rengoku laughed.

"Nuh-uh! Not until you admit defeat!" You giggled.

'This is going to be a long night...

It'll be worth it though, if it makes my sunflower happy!'
