The Attraction

You sit down in the seat your ticket said to. You were quick to purchase a ticket as soon as they were available to get. You look over to your friend sitting next to you and you both smile as you were finally there and you begin to get butterflies in your stomach. The place begins to fill up with people wearing their Elvis Costello shirts. You just simple wore whatever was clean.

You hear the introduction of "pump it up". You feel your face getting hot. 
There he was with the Attractions, you had rather close seats and figured you try and get noticed by your idol so you start to dance. Your friend began to dance as well.
About a minute later, you couldn't believe your eyes. He was looking over at you. You couldn't help but give him a smile. He smiles back with the gap in his teeth showing and he looks at you for another 10 seconds.

It looked like the bass player noticed Elvis looking at you.
After a few more songs it was time for the band to take a quick break. You begin asking your friend,

"DID YOU SEE THAT??!? HE WAS LOOKING AT ME!!!!"
Your friend just smiled and said "maybe or maybe he was just distracted by the song he was playing".
You nod and say "oh maybe, but who knows".
