The song is an OST for a korean drama I watched back in 2016 and while I'm very new to writing, I've always loved sharing my interpretation of things I am interested in. It's Definitely You, obviously, is a korean song that might be hard to understand for non-korean speakers like me but thankfully music and emotions does not work that way.
To me, the song represents a desperate expression of love to someone that is set to leave us. It's a song that makes the listener feel how hopeless and dependent one could be in the name of love. It's a very good representation of how love is double bladed sword.
Verse 1 tackles about how we are affected by people we love; how we make ourselves dependent to them.
Verse 2 tackles about how we break free from our grip to ourselves and give the people we love the power to control us; the power to make or break us.
The chorus on the other hand is desperate plea to the people we love to stay with us despite their power to break us; because at the end of the day all we need is them.

Here's a line that crossed my mind that summarize my thoughts for this song...
All For You.
I worked so hard to build myself but if I can't have you with what I built and the only way to have you is to break and rebuild myself again; I won't hesitate.
