Todd's POV

As Larry does his best to keep Sal calm, I exit the room with Neil and Ash, who both seemed shaken up by what we just witnessed. But I'm not surprised in the slightest, as this is the first time we have ever seen the effects of a possession on someone. And I don't think any of us expected our first experience with one to be our best friend.

"That was horrible," Ash says, her voice low.

"And I fear that it will just get worse. Based on Sal's condition, I don't think he has much time left before the red eyed demon is in full control of his body," I say.

"Well what are we supposed to do now?" Neil asks, leaning against the wall.

"I'm not sure. But I do know that we can't interrogate him like this," I say.

We all just stand in silence after that, the only noise being the hushed voice of Larry from behind the door. Sal seemed so scared, as if he doesn't know what to do anymore. It's a sad sight, and I never want to see it again when this is all over.

"We can't do anything right now at least, we only have two more days till spring break, we can do what we have to then," I say, opening the door and walking back into my room. Larry was gently rocking Sal side to side, with Sal's arms loosely around his neck.

"He fell asleep," Larry says bluntly, tears welling up in his eyes. "I just want to help him, Todd..."

I place a hand on his shoulder, "I know, and we will. I'm almost done perfecting everything for the exorcism, it will be ready the first day of spring break."

"So he has to suffer for two more days?" Larry asks, sadly.

"I'm afraid so, but its the best I can do. I still have to find a way that I'm able to do it instead of a priest."

Larry just nods, standing up with Sal in his arms, "Ash, could you put his mask on please?" She nods and does as he asked. "Thanks. I'm gonna take him back to his apartment, we'll see you at school." And with that, he leaves.

At this point, the possession isn't just affecting Sal, but all of us as well, especially Larry. I can't imagine what it would be like if I was in that situation. So I only feel sympathy for Larry, and an overwhelming urge for all of this to be over.

"I'm going to the cult area in the basement to work on the preparations, would either of you like to help?" I ask, both of them nodding and following me.

~The next day: Sal's POV~

Everything hurt when I opened my eyes that morning. My muscles ached and it felt like someone was trying to rip my kidneys out with their bare hands. I couldn't take it, it hurt so badly.

Red, what the fuck are you doing to me?!

I was terrified when he didn't answer. It doesn't take Larry long to wake up and ask me what was wrong. When I explained, he freaked out and picked up his phone, dialing who I assumed to be Todd.

"I don't know man! I just need you guys here now! Fuck school man!" Larry said, panicked.

As soon as he hung up, he picked me up, leaving my mask and my glass eye in the room before grabbing our shoes and bolting out of my apartment. We immediately went down to the basement and into the cult area below.

I didn't know what was happening, and the pain was excruciating, so I just started crying. Larry tried his best to comfort me, telling me that everything was going to be okay, but I wasn't so sure. All I knew was that I felt like I was going to die if the pain didn't cease.

It didn't take long for Todd, Ash, and Neil to get down here, only to see me in pain and Larry's panicked expression.

I was gradually tuning everything out, the only thing I could really figure out being Todd telling Larry to lay me down on the floor.

Everything felt like it was crashing down around me, at least until I finally felt the pain subsiding a little. I breathed heavily, glad to finally have some relief.

I wasn't really sure what was happening other than the fact that Larry lifted my shirt and everyone was yelling. I just stared at the ceiling, hearing nothing but Red's laughter ringing through my head.

Larry's POV

I was horrified when I lifted Sal's shirt up, seeing handprint bruises and scratches all over his torso, but more severe on his lower back.

"What the fuck is happening to him?!" I yell, figuring that Todd might have the answer.

"I'm not sure, perhaps this demon enjoys taunting with Sal, tormenting him until it's time for him to take control," He says, walking over to Sal and grabbing the shackles that I assume he just recently found and put in for the exorcism.

"Woah woah woah, what the hell are you doing?" I ask, feeling Neil grabbing my wrist to hold me back.

"This is getting bad, Larry, he needs to be restrained until all of this is over," Neil says, all of us watching Todd shackle Sal's ankles and wrists.

"We're not just gonna leave him here, are we?" I ask.

"No, one of us will stay with him and of course we'll supply him with food everyday," Todd says, to which I immediately volunteer to stay with Sal. Nobody protests, though we all seem scared and shaken up, but Sal looked the worse out of all of us.

I looked over at him, and he looked terrified. "I'm gonna be okay, right Larry?" He asks me, his voice cracking as he pulls against the chains a bit.

I walk over to him and cup his face, kissing his forehead. "Everything is going to be okay, Blue. I promise, all of this will be over soon. And I promise you that I will stay with you."

"Larry, promise me something."

"What is it?"

"Promise me that if Red takes over, and there's no chance of getting me back....you'll kill him."

"But Blue-"

"Promise me, Larry. Even if it kills me... I can't live like this Lar."

"I....I promise," I say, tears falling down my cheeks as I lace my fingers together with his. No, I won't let him die. He's going to be okay, everything is going to be okay. We're gonna get rid of this fucker together, and Sal is going to walk out of this hellhole alive and in my arms.

That's what I promise you, Sal.
