Jade's POV
I managed to get some time off with my girlfriend for the first time in quite a while since both of our schedules are hectic as hell so we barely get any time together so we really do cherish those moments even if they are for like 5 minutes...
Y/N decided to take me to Glastonbury Festival today since Diana Ross is apparently meant to be playing today and as a massive fan of hers, I wouldn't miss it in a heartbeat!
But something hasn't been feeling right for the last week about me...
It's like every so often, a massive wave of anxious thoughts and fear suddenly crash over me out of nowhere so I'm slightly afraid of losing my girlfriend whilst at the festival and having another bloody panic attack so you could definitely say that I'm gripping onto her bloody hand with all of my might, not caring if I break her hand with the amount of force.
I've never had this kind of feeling while on stage myself so I don't understand what is actually going on with me.
Nobody's POV
Y/N drives into the festival parking lot a hour before the show starts since the doors opened an hour ago, Y/N knew about Jade's anxiety before her girlfriend even did, almost like a sixth sense.
"Alright, you wanna head in?" Y/N inquires, taking her car keys out of the ignition while looking over at her girlfriend whom just reluctantly nods at her but she just knew what that face on Jade meant "Darling, what's wrong?"
"Nothing's wrong, love, just excited." Jade claims, nervously chuckling as she thought that it would get her off the hook with her girlfriend.
"Babe, I know what's going on with your panic attacks and stuff like that since Perrie and Leigh-Anne told me that they sometimes happen during the rehearsals." Y/N tells Jade with the Geordie's eyebrows raising in shock. "You don't need to hide your thoughts from me, so what's going on, darling?"
Jade was almost immediately taken aback after what her girlfriend said to her since she sounded so sincere and honest that Jade couldn't believe her ears but it finally gave her the confidence to tell Y/N what was going on.
"I've j-just been so worried that I'm gonna somehow lose you in the crowd t-tonight or that you'll find another much prettier girl and leave me right t-there on the spot..." Jade admits, getting all awkward afterwards before Y/N hooks her finger under the Geordie's chin, turning her face to hers.
"That's never gonna happen, there isn't another girl out there who makes me feel the way that you do, Jade Amelia Thirlwall. You're my princess and there's nobody in the world whom is going to change that....-"
"- And if you do end up losing me, you find that big rock next to the food court, I'll find you there."
Jade reluctantly nods before weakly smiling at Y/N before they both got out of the car, heading into the festival.
Later...
Soon after that, the festival began to quickly fill up as the time before the show started quickly eroding away.
Y/N and Jade were just perched atop the aforementioned rock with their food and drink as the first act (Lizzo) of the night came out and began singing, the two girls sang along with the words whilst having a little dance.
It looked like Jade's anxieties were fading away throughout the first set but Y/N deep down knew that they were never gonna be fully gone.
"Do you wanna go and dance, darling?" Y/N inquires, grabbing her girlfriend's undivided attention all of a sudden as they finished their snacks.
Jade didn't know what to do so she just let herself agree to it and before she knew it, she was in the middle of the crowd with, dancing all the anxieties away...
Jade's POV
I'm having the time of my life that I hardly realise that Y/N's hand has left mine and that I can't find her anywhere, my breathing begins to get heavier and heavier as I successfully scramble out of the dense crowd and back to the rock that Y/N told me.
Flashes of anxiety repeatedly keeps hitting me every second so I draw my knees up to my chest and pull my head in between my knees.
I feel a hand on my knee before I lift my tear-stained face out of my knees, Y/N's face is there, she looks so worried about me.
"Darling, I'm here, I'm right here." She tells me as she pulls me into her comforting embrace. "Baby, I need you to copy my breathing.""I c-can't" I stammer as the breath hitches from my mouth, I feel a hard feeling in my chest and it's like my heart is beating a million beats a second.
"Yes, you can..." She tells me and I try my best to breathe but it just results in more panic and eventually tears. "Baby, I need you to try."
In the end, my breathing does slowly go back to normal and Y/N encourages me every step of the way, she leans her head against mine before kissing my forehead.
"Do you wanna head home or do you wanna stay here?" She asks me, sitting down next to me. "We can head home and cuddle til your heart's content or we can stay here, what do you wanna do?"
"Stay here, I just need some water."
"Alright, you sit tight for a moment, I'll get you a bottle of water."
Y/N gets up and heads over to the concession stand, grabbing two bottles of ice cold water before heading back and retaking her seat next to me.
Just in time as well as we both see Diana Ross wandering onto the stage, I get all giddy and smily for the entirety of her set before we eventually head back home for a very long cuddle session before we ultimately fall asleep on the sofa...
