(y/n) POV:
________________

"Hey Traveler!" A boy calls from behind you. You turn quickly and spot the boy you had once had many adventures with.
"Hey Venti!" You say, rapping your arms around his neck like you once did before. He blushes, his face becoming hot. You smile and hug him, nuzzling your head into his neck. You feel him shift, as he leans down, his breath tickling your cheek. He sighs and whispers in your ear.

"Stay... Stay here in Monstadt, with me... We can try and make things work! We can try again!" He pulls away, and looks at you. You can tell that sobs are theartening to over come his calmness. You frown, knowing that you had already gone over this a thousand times before.

"Venti... I already told you... I can't continue being in a relationship with you. I put you in danger. And without your Gnosis, and having control over your nation... You can't even protect yourself from a Fatiue, how do you expect to protect yourself from other threats?" You say, well tears suddenly threaten you with there presence.

You sigh and let go of Venti. He frowns and nods, suddenly looking more angry than sad.
"Venti... I'm not doing this because I don't love you. I'm doing this because I do love you. I'm trying to protect you, if that means leaving behind my only life I've known, and my only true love... So be it!" You smile, and wipe your now wet cheeks from the water that floods your eyes.

"Just... Please tell me you won't forget our promise..." He looks down at his feet while fiddling with his hands. You nod and remember that day at the tree, that same one that ended your relationship.

"(y/n)!" Venti smiles as he runs up to the tree that your standing at. The one in Windrise. The big tree that had everything happen at it. Everything that seemed to grow the two of you closer together. He raps his arms closely around you, holding you in a tight embrace. You feel his face nuzzel into the crevice of your neck.

"Traveler. It's so nice out today... Wouldn't you say?" Venti say softly. Over the past few months, with everything you've been through, Venti seems to have become even more mature than you thought he could. You smile and nod, just as he pulls away and stands back from you.

"Your not going to leave me right?" Venti asks, his face not as dark as that day when he asked. You shake your head.
"I'm sorry Venti, but eventually I'll have to continue my journey. I'll have to keep searching for my brother." You say, stepping forward to try and comfort the Archon. He stumbles backwards, trying to keep away from you. You can clearly tell by his sudden expression.

"Right... Of course. Family is more important than love. Just...

Promise me you'll come back... And that you won't forget me, when the day comes that you leave... Say you'll come back!"

Venti lifts his head, tears falling down his face. You smile, and hug him again.

"Of course I'll come back. For you... I'll come back."

"Don't worry Venti... I won't forget." You say, gesturing for him to hug you again. He brings you into another tight embrace, before you shrug him off and grab your bags.

"Good-" He sniffles.

"Good bye Venti." You finish for him, leaving the city of freedom. You wave good bye as you pass over the bridge, and hit the open road.

"We have a long journey ahead of us Paimon. You ready?" You ask to the small creature. She nods as she drifts slowly beside you. You smile and get ready for the long walk.

"Traveler! Are we almost there?" Paimon asks as you pass by a different looking Statue. You open your map and stare at the location you had reached.
"It looks like we're on the outskirts of Lyiue. Shouldn't take that long." You say, shoving the map back again and picking back up your bags. But before you can continue, you walk over and touch the Statue. It lights up a golden color.

"Weird. The last one was teal. This one is gold." You say, felting a jolt of new power.
"This is the Geo Archon. Rex Lapis. He reins over Lyiue, the city of Contracts. As you already know Traveler, Tone-Deaf-Bard was the Archon of Anemo, who kind of reined over the city of Freedom. Monstadt." Paimon says, staring up at the statue.

"Wow Paimon. Looks like you did some research before coming." You tease. Paimon sighs and floats ahead. You walk over a big hill and see, in the distance, a big building, people crowded the road leading to it.

"Traveler! Do you think that place has food?" Paimon asks, her stomach groweling. You smile and she leads you down the path and up to the building being held up by a tree.

"Welcome to Wangshu Inn!"
