Hi loves! I'm really sorry, it took me a bit longer to get this chapter out because I was kind of struggling with how to write one of the events in the chapter in a way that wouldn't make one of the characters seem toxic. But after a lot of rewriting, I'm finally satisfied with how the events went down, so here it is! I hope you guys enjoy <3
----------------------
Ever since that day on the rooftop, there had been this new underlying tension that had been nagging at Sunoo for weeks, but it wasn't worrying or scary. It made him restless and he felt the need to be close to Heeseung again, to feel that warmth of Heeseung's body against his own just like that day.
Neither of them had mentioned it, in fact, they both acted as if it hadn't happened but at the same time, Sunoo was highly aware of what would have happened if the stupid janitor hadn't come in and stopped them.
He had to force himself to stop thinking these crazy thoughts, but it was nearly impossible to do when Heeseung was now constantly around Sunoo. It seemed that he too had sensed the tension as well and he had started leaning in closer to the younger when they stood side by side, or wouldn't mind openly staring at Sunoo now.
Sunoo was sure his heart was going to explode.
However, there was still one problem though, and that was Yang Jungwon. Sunoo's - well, he wasn't even sure what they were now - best friend.
He had made awkward eye contact with the younger male so many times while he was at school and it was starting to kill him. Just like now, when Sunoo was trying so hard to keep his head straight ahead to not turn and look at the male staring intensely at him from the left.
It didn't help that this had been going on for way too long now and Sunoo was never someone to hold a grudge for this long, but he couldn't help but feel a looming feeling of disappointment whenever he looked at the younger male.
It had gotten to the point where Sunoo couldn't focus on class anymore and he snapped his head to face Jungwon with a frown on his lips. The younger male looked like a deer-caught-in-headlights, his eyes wide and body frozen in surprise.
"What do you want, Jungwon?" Sunoo asked with a sigh and the younger male's eyes widened even more, not believing that his best friend was finally talking to him again.
"I-uh." Jungwon spluttered, his brown hair falling over his eyes as he tried to make up a coherent sentence to say. Sunoo raised an eyebrow at the younger, not used to seeing the boy be this flustered unless it was around the tall blonde-haired kid.
"I wanted to apologise. I'm really sorry, Sunoo hyung." Jungwon apologised. Sunoo had been expecting the first words he would say to be an apology, but it still didn't stop him from staring at the younger in surprise.
"I shouldn't have said those things about Heeseung. I'm sorry for being so rude." The brown-haired male sincerely apologised.
Sunoo gave the younger a sad smile as he sighed again. "I'm glad that you're apologising, but you should be telling this to Heeseung." He explained.
"Of course." Jungwon nodded eagerly. "I just wanted to tell you that I'm sorry for saying those things and I've missed you so much," Jungwon said, his voice going quieter at the end.
Sunoo felt a smile coming back to his lips. He hadn't even realised how much he missed the younger male, especially since Heeseung had been all he could think about for the past few days.
"I missed you too, Wonie." Sunoo whispered so that the teacher wouldn't hear them, but Jungwon heard him and a heart-warming smile spread across his lips.
