It's been five years since the last time she was here. Philippines. This place holds the memories she holds dear, as well as the memories she had always wanted to forget. But she has no time to reminisce.

"Hurry up, baby. You know that mommy's worried about grandpa, right?"

"Yes, mom. Coming~!"

They immediately hailed a cab to the hospital. Fawn and her son stayed in Japan for more than five years. We would've stayed there for more years. But it was her father's wish to spend his remaining time with his grandson.

"Dad!"

"My grandson! Come here, come to grandpa!"

She came here with so much worry and he didn't even look at her. Tch. She complained in her mind.

"Dad."

"Oh, my daughter. You're here!"

"Who do you think would bring Calyx here, except for me?"

She sighed.

"Why didn't you tell me? I could've come here a long time ago."

Her father looked at Her son who was on his lap.

"My boy, there's a TV remote in that cabinet. You can go and watch TV, is that okay?"

Her son is way too clever for his own good. He knows that it was adult conversation so he couldn't listen. He stood up, went to the cabinet, and sat on the sofa to watch the TV.

"You know I couldn't do that. I know how hard it was for you, and know it's still hard for you to be here. I knew you needed time to heal. As your father, I couldn't bare to see you so heartbroken."

"How many years do you have left?"

"A year."

She didn't want to cry. But before She could stop it, her tears were already running down her cheek. The only thing she could do was to cry silently, so as not to let her son know that she was crying.

"D-dad, is there no other way? We could go to other countries, we could hire the best doctor-"

"Adelle.."

She cried even more. It was only her father who called her that name.

"You know that there's no other way, Adelle. Beside, I am already happy that you're here. I am happy that you were able to face your fears, and was brave enough to come here. I am proud to be your father. And I know that you would be just as great as your mom."

He was smiling while he was saying that. She could see his sincerity and love for her.

"You're my one and only daughter. And I am happy to see that you are now able to stand on your own feet. I will have no regrets as I live this world. Your mom's already been waiting way too long."

She was crying silently when she felt a small hug from behind.

"Mom, it's okay."

Those words from her son made her cry even harder.

"Are you going to grandma now, grandpa?"

Her father looked at her son tenderly.

"Yes, but not now, my boy. I still have to attend your fifth birthday, remember?"

It took Fawn 30 minutes before she can finally calm down. And her son just sat there beside her, hugging her until she stopped crying.

She looked at the door as her father's butler entered the room.
