"JO!" a scrappy little blond girl with short hair scrambles to her feet as a little girl who looks identical to her ends up falling off the end of the slide with a thump of having rolled over the top of herself. As the girl that fell down the slide climbs to her feet carefully there are several scrapes from the rocks and sand from where she slid. "Are you okay?" the girl asks taking her sister's hand.

"I am okay Tallies" she limps slightly walking with her sister "we should go home now though." as the injured girl states this a boy that is much bigger comes flying down the slide and almost hits the two little girls who are attempting to walk away. the boy yelled
"Oh is Little Johanna gonna go tell her mommy again?" the older boy scolds her the uninjured twin quickly brings her attention to him and it was almost as if someone drags him down to his knees. The little girl's hand was coated in a layer of darkness.
"Dante! No one asked your opinion." Scolded the now angry girl as she snapped her hands away from the shadows and turned back to her sister and helped her to walk away as the boy stared off at the duo with a look of terror.

"Tallie, you shouldn't have used your ability in public like that." Johanna lightly scolded her sister.
" And he shouldn't have shoved you down the slide as he did." She growls lowly in response to her sister. The rest of the walk home was in silence. it was not far away they lived in the neighborhood around the small park they had been playing at.

"Mom" Tallie calls out as she walks into the main room of the house. It was quiet, which was an odd occurrence. The girls were 10 years old. Their older brother Alexander and their father both worked during the day in a factory. They always come home tired and never willing to help with chores as well as generally around the house either. Their mother was a stay-at-home mom. She was always around the house somewhere. She made all of their clothes as things had become inflated in price. Simple pants and skirts and dresses for the two girls and for the grown men of the family she would take more time making strong denim jeans and overalls and lightweight shirts. Tallie helped her sister sit down on the couch before going in search of the mother that had not responded when she called for her. She walked through the large 4-bedroom house. Stopping at first in the sewing room. There was no one to be found. It was an uncomfortable amount of quiet. that was when it started. The air raid sirens. They were deafening. It was Johanna at this point that reacted. She stood up ignoring all of the pain in her leg she grabbed her sister's hand just as she got back into the room and she went running out of the door. And in the direction of a large building in the center of the large clearing behind the neighborhood. The girls were running as fast as they could at this point. They could hear explosions in the near distance. They saw other people running as well and screaming. The screaming was never-ending. The explosions grew nearer the two sisters continued to run together holding on to each other's hands. they got to the building, and they started to file in with the rest of the people. the leaders of the city who were checking people in looked at the two girls oddly but took down their names and gave them a block number. The block number was where their specific family was to shelter for the time of the raid. There was food and supplies to last a month from what the girls remembered of their air raid training at school and at home with their parents. The girls held hands tightly looking around at all the people as they walked in the downward sloping ground into the barracks of the Blocks. They located their block number easily given it was still a single-digit block 8. Room for a family of 6. The twins always thought it weird that there was an extra bed any time they did test runs and drills for the air raids. The girls were the first ones to get here. they took one of the beds together sitting down and waiting for what they hoped was going to be the rest of their family.

Several hours later

The two girls had fallen asleep, they were deep enough down in the ground the sounds of the bombs were not permeating the facility. There was a warm hand on the young girl's arms that woke them up. they opened their eyes to find their older brother looking over them. His bright blue eyes startling against his pale dirty face.
"Thank god you are both okay." He says as both of the young girls launch up and wrap their arms tightly around his neck and his arms around their backs.

"Where are mom and dad? The little green-eyed girl asked quickly. That was the only difference between the two girls. Tallie had deep forest green eyes, Johanna had bright glassy blue eyes much like her older brother.

"Dad is in the infirmary. The factory was bombed first. I had to carry him here and he had a beam land on top of him." he fills the two girls in. they were ten but he knew they would understand enough of that to get that he was getting taken care of.
"and mom?" Johanna pipped in seeing that he was avoiding the topic.

"We couldn't find her anywhere..." he states plainly. "We looked as long as we could before it got too dangerous." The girls clearly upset nodded in unison and held on to their brother tighter. "Remember she could have ended up going to a different shelter; or even might come out of it safely. Don't count her out yet." He speaks softly to both of the girls. Alex was only a couple of years older than the two girls. The twins are 10 and he 12 almost 13.

"We will get through this." a man that was not that old rolled himself into the room in a wheelchair. Making eye contact with his three children. "And we will get home soon." He nods and all three of the kids are hugging the man in some form as the bombing above continues on and starts to get louder it seems.
