"Yooh, calm down." Yoohyeon was shaking her leg while her hands were clasped under her chin. They were over Handong's place trying (and failing) to calm Yoohyeon down about meeting her parents

"How can I calm down, Dongie? They're your parents! I'm gonna meet them for the first time! What if I mess up? Trip on something?" Yoohyeon went wide-eyed for a second before saying, "God, what if I say something wrong in Chinese?!"

Yoohyeon was undoubtedly panicking. Handong placed her hand over Yoohyeon's, and for a moment, the younger woman felt a sense of relief.

"I'm really sorry to put you in a situation like this. Do you not want to do this? I told you if it makes you uncomfortable, you don't have to do it." Handong said with concern residing in her voice.

Not gonna lie, she was worried too. Her parents never explicitly said that they support her about dating Yoohyeon, and she only disclosed her sexuality when she got the courage to tell them about her relationship. They never talked about it ever since, even if Handong kept trying to associate Yoohyeon whenever they had a conversation. They never shouted at her or told her off because of that, that's why she suggested the idea to her parents and they agreed.

So now, they're coming to South Korea because they wanted to meet Yoohyeon. And well, Handong's father has a business to attend there so there's that.

"I want to do this. It's for you. And you know that I would do anything for you, right?" Yoohyeon looked at her girlfriend with a small, soft smile on her face. "I guess it's natural that I feel nervous and uncomfortable because I've never heard them say anything about me so I don't know what to expect." Yoohyeon caressed the hand that was holding hers, to comfort Handong as well, and planted a soft kiss on her lips.

"I'll do it. Besides, maybe it's the chance for me to show them that you're in capable hands." Yoohyeon smiled that cheeky and gummy smile that Handong came to love, feeling the bubbling nervousness and guilt come down. She doesn't want to ever put Yoohyeon in an uncomfortable situation, especially if it affects them as a couple. But maybe, she could trust Yoohyeon's words, as the younger woman never fails to make her feel safe.

She got the urge to tease Yoohyeon, to light up the mood in their apartment as well. "Oh, so you're saying I'm in capable hands? But you drop things the moment you hold them?" Yoohyeon groaned because she can just never get away with Handong's teasing and her clumsiness. Maybe she could tease Handong too, in hopes that it makes the other woman blush, and to light the mood up.

"You know what my hands do. Among all people, you should know it." And she did blush, especially when Yoohyeon sent a suggestive wink to her girlfriend.

A ping from Handong's phone took away all the teasing and flirting that they were doing.

"They're here. We should go, Yoohyeonnie." The color of Yoohyeon's face quickly faded, and was replaced with fear again. Yoohyeon found solace in her girlfriend's hand, a determined look on her face as she looked at Handong.

Sure, she's scared and she's afraid she might pee in her pants because she finds her parents intimidating, but this is for Handong. The Chinese woman has taught her a lot of things, has stayed with her during her darkest days, and has been with her when she was feeling low and needed someone to be there for her.

"Let's do this. Keep holding my hand the entire time?" Handong smiled and nodded. She can totally do that for Yoohyeon.
