The two men stood opposite to each other, the tension in the air rose dramatically. Both holding axes in hand they lunged at each other full force. It was deathly silent as both mens axes clanged against each other, I wasn't certain who was going to win, they seemed equally matched. Each time they blocked each other's attacks one wasn't able to get the other to the floor.
I myself wasn't sure who to root for, they both have greeted me with kindness, I wasn't sure what to do. I watched Technoblade for a while, I realised how similiar we were in fighting styles, Sensei had taught us well.
Eventually the tension started to rise even more, people started cheer and shout. Wilbur was silent however, watching just as intently as I did. He seemed worried, I wasn't looking forward to what came of this ordeal.
After a while, Technoblade twisted his body, causing Dream to stumble, making the opportunity open to strike... bang. Dream was down, a sword to his neck. Dream gave a simple smirk, getting up from the floor. He shock Technoblade's hand and went back to his side.
Wilbur and Tommy ran to Technoblades excitedly, shaking his hand and patting him on the back. He gave a small nod and sat next to me.
"Quite a skill you have Mr Blade." I chuckled.
"Well, Sensei taught us well in the end." He responded making me smile, and reminisce the times shared with him.
Looking over I noticed Sapnap and Dream talking to each other, strategising possibly. Wilbur was giving Tommy and Quackity ways to beat the enemy. I guess this grace period was being used only for the battle. I decided in case I was next to go for a small walk, I needed some time to get my thoughts together, I didn't want to let anyone down.
My mind was conflicted between sides. Technoblade had treated me with such kindness and was encouraging, knowing we had the same sensei made me feel at peace, whereas Dream, as mysterious as he was, could be sweet, I just wasn't sure of his intentions.
Maybe in the end I didn't need to pick a side. I wasn't too sure though, I feel this ordeal would need me to, eventually.
I heard the crunching of grass behind me and was surprised to see Dream.
"Well well well, someone nervous?" He asked me.
"You got me, I am very." I sighed.
"Well I lost, So i mean can't be that bad." He smiled at me.
"I guess you are right." Returning the smile, "I don't want to let them down."
He nodded, "Yeah well even if you do, my side is always available." He joked.
I shook my lead chuckling, "Thanks Dream."
"You know, you really intrigue me Y/n, I feel like you will fit right in."
"Ha, we will see."
Before we could continue I noticed the tall figure of Technoblade stand behind him.
"Well dream, talking with the other side, very unlike you." He mumbled standing next to me, I couldn't tell in what manner.
Dream laughed, "Oh Technoblade, you can't see me doing anything without suspicion, I was simply being friendly, right Y/n?" He said gazing at me.
"Yeah, he was, just talking." I tried reassuring Technoblade.
"Well, you can go now Dream, the next dual is commencing soon."
"I guess that means we shall all return." He responded staring at him.
Both their auras clashed at each other as I walked in the middle of the two. Techno and I went to the right and Dream went left.
Tubbo's voice entered from the stage, "Our next dual that will commence is...
Sapnap and Y/n."
My eyes widened, Sapnap looked at me, I couldn't read his face at all.
Shit.
My eyes wondered to where Dream was, he seemed concerned, I wasn't sure if that was for me, or him...
