It had been four months, and the trio's plans to move to Ireland were well underway. They had notified Annabelle and Noah separately of the move, and the plan was to live with the boy's mum for a week or two whilst they tried to find their own place nearby. Both of their parents had been ecstatic about the news, with Annabelle relaying the story of telling Bridget and Caitlin that the trio had gotten married. She had cackled over the phone when describing their reactions, and Victoria had felt somewhat bad that Caitlin had seemed so devastated by the news. She would've liked to try and be friends with Caitlin once they were back in Ireland, but was now unsure if that would be possible.
Connor and Murphy, on the other hand, had found the story just as hilarious as their mother did. They had grown tired of the expectation that one of them would eventually marry Caitlin, so they were relieved that they wouldn't have to put up with that any longer.
Rocco and Charlotte had grown much closer since their first date, and now considered themselves 'exclusive'. The trio had been on a few other dates with the two of them, but they mostly spent time with them at Doc's, or have them both over for dinner. The new 'normal' that they had become accustomed to made the plan of moving to Ireland a bittersweet one. Telling both Rocco and Charlotte of the move had been difficult, especially because they weren't able to tell Charlotte of the twin's past as the Saints. They had to frame it as the brothers wanting to be closer to their mother as they got older, which Charlotte understood.
They had also broken the news to Doc, with Victoria tearfully having to hand in her resignation to him. He had been very upset at the thought of them leaving, but knew it was the right thing to do for their safety.
"Ye know ye always have a job here when ye lot decide to come back, Victoria." Doc had said, wiping a tear away from the corner of his eye. "Ye two boys better look after this girl." He'd said, hugging them both at the same time. "And keep ye'selves safe. Ye three are like the kids I never had."
Both Murphy and Connor had been emotional telling Doc the news; they had been close with him for a very long time, and seemed to view him as a father figure while they had been away from home.
Now with the move only a week away, most of their belongings had been packed up, with lots of their bigger items having been sold. The apartment looked depressingly bare, which would occasionally make Victoria emotional at random.
One afternoon, as Victoria sat at home packing up some books in the lounge room, Connor and Murphy entered the apartment after coming home from work. They were laughing loudly, their moods having been very high the closer the move got.
"How did it go?" Victoria asked as they kicked their boots off at the front door. She knew that today had been their last day at work, after giving in the resignation a week prior.
"Great. Relieved to be done." Connor replied, dropping on to the couch beside Victoria.
"Rosie was devastated." Murphy laughed, walking over to the fridge and opening it.
Victoria rolled her eyes and scoffed. "Oh, I bet." She got up from her spot on the couch and stretched her arms out either side of herself. "I'm so over this packing."
"Ye done a great job, my love." Connor said, reaching out to squeeze her hand. "Not long to go now."
"Are we still havin' Roc and Char over the night before we leave?" Murphy asked, closing the fridge, a beer in his hand.
"Yeah. Won't be a late one, considering our flight is at like six the next morning." Victoria explained.
Murphy groaned and sat down on one of the stools at the kitchen counter. "Forgot 'bout that."
