I was in class daydreaming again, like normal. That's when the teacher came in.
"Class, I have an announcement for everyone. So first of all, I have some good news and bad news. The bad news is that your camp trip has sadly been canceled."
Just as the teacher finished completing this sentence, everyone started groaning.
"Why does this have to happen to us??" some kid in my class yelled out.
"That's because, the camp site that we were originally going to, has been booked full, and they don't have any more slots for us to book, sadly, but... the good news is that we have found another place to go since we can't go camping." the teacher announced.
"Where Miss?" another student yelled out.
"I'm getting to that child! Now just let me finish what I was about to say!" she yelled, running out of patience.
"So what I was going to tell you was that we have arranged for you guys to go on a trip to Korea."
Korea?? But, that's impossible. That's my dream country. The one place I want to be right now. Where my Minho is...
I was dreaming about Minho, when the teacher started talking again.
"We have arranged for you students to go to korea for 2 weeks. You will also have penpals from Korea.The first week, you will stay with your penpal, and go to their school. But don't worry, even though you are staying with your penpal, you will see your peers at school, in Korea. And for the second week, you and your penpal will just enjoy having fun and exploring Korea. We have even arranged a day out to Jeju island. So I hope you guys are excited! You will start penpalling the students from Korea tomorrow. So please make an introduction letter and bring it in tomorrow." she finished.
Ahhhhhh!!!! I'm hella excited! I can't believe I'm going to Korea! I can't believe I'm going to have a Korean penpal! And we get to go to Jeju island??!!
Wait a minute.
I raised my hand to ask a question.
"Miss, did you say we have to stay at our penpal's house for 2 weeks? And alone?" I asked. I loved going and everything, but staying alone with someone I don't know well? That makes me a little uncomfortable, but also excited!
After what I said, the teacher answered my question.
"Yes Y/N. That is what I explained. So everyone. Don't be scared to live with a friend for 2 weeks. They are good and responsible children.Unlike you monkeys."she said, muttering the last sentence.
That was when the bell rang and we all went to class.
AFTER SCHOOL
I quickly got home, and as homework, Miss had told us to make our introduction letters. So I got into my room and started writing. In the end, this is what I got down.
