"All right, you got a rope?"
"Got it."
"Grappling hook?"
"We don't have a grappling hook. We're not Batman."
The boys make me giggle as they mark the checklist of what we need.
We are currently driving all together to the Crain house in the Twinkie. The sun just went down, so it is dark.
If I'm being honest, I am quite scared to do this, but also excited because I'm hoping the gold will actually be there. The only thing I'm worried about is getting caught.
"Pulley?"
"Check."
"Dark clothes?"
"Got it."
"Flashlights?"
"Check?"
"All right, good."
"We're ready." John B states while parking the car in front of the old stone wall.
"Let's go?" Kie adds.
"Let's go get rich, Guys." JJ comments.
"Yeah. Hell yeah." I smirk.
John B gets out of the drivers seat and pulls the side door across so we can all jump out.
"Let's go." Pope speaks. We all begin to get up with all the supplies.
"Wait, wait." John B stops us. "I wanna say thank you, Guys. Seriously. It means a lot to me that you're here tonight."
Kie rolls her eyes playfully with a smile. "Always."
"Of course, John B." I reply.
"Yeah, Man." Pope agrees, doing the classic Pogue handshake with JB.
Sarah smiles sweetly at John B, earning a small nod from him.
"All right, we done with this circle jerk? Can we go do this?" JJ questions.
"Yeah." I answer while grabbing the ropes from beside me. I didn't expect them to be that heavy.
"Let's get that wheat in the water." Pope adds.
"Weed? I'm up for weed." JJ comments.
"Wheat. I said wheat." Pope tells.
I laugh at the boys little conversation.
We all get out of the car and shut the door, chuck our supplies over the stone wall then climb over it.
"After you." Kie speaks to me.
"Ladies first." Sarah adds. I give them both a small smile before climbing over. I wait on the other side of the wall for everyone else.
When the others climb over, we begin walking closer to the house. I start to struggle with holding the big heavy rope. My shoulder hurts a lot and I accidentally let out a small groan.
"Hey, you okay?" JJ asks.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine." I answer, adjusting the rope on my shoulder.
"Here. Let me take this." JJ speaks. He grabs the big ropes from my shoulder and places them on his.
"Thanks." I smile in return.
"No problem." JJ responds, giving me a small wink.
I feel my cheeks heat up a little at the action.
As a group, we stand a few feet away from the house. Suddenly, the outside lights turn on and we all duck down behind the bushes.
"Shit!" We all exclaim.
