Katsuki

My grunts came out as I sat up, when the hell did I fall asleep? I looked at my hand, holding an unopened file within it. I set it down, with a hangover pang in my head as it slapped down a bit too hard. Not a lot of the files I've seen this past month have contributed, except the one picture Allmights tutor had given. It had been the crime scene of Allmights death, a truly gruesome cold case. I had the suspicions that this death had something to do with their shared quirk, if that's it though why was Kirishima a victim to this? Did the words on the wall "Swans fly, do you?" have something to do with those two?

Another grunt came with the racing thoughts that just caused more pain. Fuck this hangover, let's just take some medicine and head off to work. And with that, I did exactly that except stuffed my hero suit in the bag I had close by, leaving with a casual business attire. Ugh I hate this, let's just hurry this up.

When I finally got to the agency, it was just a matter of time before my eyes met with Aizawa who stood outside my office. I furrowed my eyebrows and unlocked the door to let him in. But without me saying anything he already knew my question. "We did some further investigation into Shinsou, and his agency has him off for a few weeks for vacation. Same date range as what was found on that wall."

"Wait, is something significant around that time? A birthday, anniversary, anything?" I looked up only to be met with a shaking head. "Well I'll note that and if we don't hear anything more, we'll go about it somehow. We'll have normal patrol, but every patrol team needs at least one pro or elite underground hero. Do you think you and mic could cover here for that day?"

He nodded, pulling out his phone to check with mic. Mic being disappointed since they apparently had a dinner planned that night, but agreed for the safety of Eri and this agency. I thanked them, offering compensation. Only gaining "oh honey, babysit Eri and we'll call it even." I agreed chuckling and separated ways with Aizawa.

I would have to soon begin scheduling everyone's patrol groups, unfortunately enough. Usually I would have Neito or my secretary doing that, but right now neither were available. As Neito was out with two interns, and my secretary wasn't coming till later today due to a martial appointment. It would be me continuing to do all the personalized scheduling for our pros and business with the underground pros for a quite a piece of the day. That was till a knock came on the door, with the secretary entering through. "What is it Mrs. Lan?"

Lan had made her way towards my desk, setting a dinner, coffee, and letter down. "Heard you been in the office all day, so thought I'd stop to get food and caffeine for you. As well stopped by the front desk to see if you had received anything. They said a strange man stopped to give this to you, but at the time you were meeting with Eraserhead. No name was given and no name found on the envelope, but we ran tests and it shouldn't be anything dangerous." I nodded and thanked her, sending her the list I have already completed. I needed a break from all this damn scheduling, should possibly take a break for the next two days. But at this point it wouldn't be a break. Lan walked out with the almost completed scheduling.

Leaning back in my chair, my attention turns towards the letter. Though I also hate cold meals, so grabbing the meal and letter. As I scarf down a good portion of the dinner, now turning to open the letter. As soon as it was opened and unfolded, all I saw was a familiar but beautiful handwriting. It reading quite a whirl of emotion.

Dear Katsuki,

I hope this found you well. With much sincerity, I recommend you stop the little investigation. And hope dearly that you found Shinsou's clue as well as mine very endearing.

Please do feel free to look this little master piece over, such a disobedient dog he's been. Oh please do be an obedient little dog and heed the warning. Have no heros with you on patrol.

Sincerely, Swan.

Pulling the extra paper from it, my eyes were met with a unconscious beaten Kirishima. My stomach turning with the sight, I set the the pieces down. I wouldn't give up this investigation, though I sure wasn't risking the others by having them gather it all. And certainly not risking the hidden threat behind the heros piece. With that I sent a single message to all three, getting many unanswered calls and texts. 'Investigations Off.'

Grabbing the coffee, letter, and unfinished meal, as well as many other things. My legs led me out and onto my way home. Though all I could do was set things down on the trashed table. Grabbing a single pin and thread, attaching Kirishima's picture to the rightful side he was supposed to be on. Analyzing anything about the photo and letter, only met with blankness. Who the hell was Swan? Was that some God damn code or was it some new villain trying to be the top?

But then it hit, Allmights crime scene. It has something to connect, whoever killed Allmight had kidnapped the other two. But what the hell potential did Swan have? I looked over Allmights case area, him having no leads to enemies other than the obvious villains, Izuku, Shinsou, and Aizawa. I don't think Aizawa has anything to do with this though, he wouldn't have handed me anything to do with Allmight if he was involved, and certainly wouldn't have agreed to spy on his own son. Villains is a certain possibility, for the obvious reasons. Izuku, he wasn't the type to switch just because Allmight gave up on him. He would be heartbroken, but where was he? In the worst case, he'd probably be a nomu or something. Shinsou, a possible fixture, he wasn't not proven to be a spy.

With this I opened my phone, calling Lan and Neito. I knew this was a lot to ask, but it would help further this whole case. Neito answering first, "Thank fucking God. What the hell was-" I cut him off before he could finish.

"Look are you near Mrs. Lan right now? I need both of you to hear this, and in an area no where close to anybody else." He agreed with worry in his tone, gathering Lan and heading into my office. "I need an article sent out to confirm my suspicions. Aizawa and Denki must not find out any further about this case. But article is to scare Shinsou into hiding, since my direction of this is leading him to be a spy for both the hero society and league. Mrs. Lan, take anyone on patrol with me off, and don't speak about it to anyone. Neito, if he offers you to come with him when running, do so. Hand your interns off to Denki or Aizawa that day. Keep me updated." And with that I hung up, waiting for the day all this would happen.

This was all now in the hands of fate, and I was determined to get all the conclusions I needed. For the puzzle was coming to its end.
