Hospital

Jennifer's pov

I wake up in a hospital bed not remembering anything that has happened to me. I have a broken leg, ankle, and arm. I look over to my left and I see a man sitting in a chair just staring at me. "Who are you?" I ask. " you don't know who I am?" He asked. I look at him not wanting to respond because I truly don't know who he is, so I just look down. "I'm your husband Ben but since you hit your head in the accident I have to be patient with you and understand that you can't remember things right now." He says.

I look him in the eyes as he was talking then I looked back down but looked at his hand and saw a ring on his finger. I looked at mines a well and there was a ring there to so I believed what he was saying. "Thank you for telling me who you are, and yes I'm going to need a while to start remembering things if I do." I say. He just gives a small smile and reaches his hand out for me to shake it. I shake his hand and he says "Hi, I'm Ben" Then I say "Hi, Ben I'm Jennifer" then he says "Nice to meet you Jennifer" I give him a small smile.

Three Days In The Hospital

As I'm slowly recovering Ben has been there by my side the whole time. Helping me try to walk with the nurses, helping me do matching puzzles and even feeding me food at times. I am very appreciative of his help. I leave the hospital today and I'm very excited because I honestly don't remember being outside at all. Ben says we have a beautiful modern cabin style house together, and I can't wait to see it.

As of right now I am at the front desk at the hospital going over all the paper work and medication I need. The nurse says the medication I am taking will help with the vivid nightmares I've been having as of lately. As we're talking Ben pops up with some balloons. "Hey hun, today is an exciting day." He says. I smile and say yeah it is. The nurse gives me the last and final papers to sign and I look down at the signature part and I am a little hesitant as to what to put. The nurse notices and she says "it'll be okay, you'll remember overtime." I look at her then look back down at the paper and sign it putting Jennifer Affleck.

Me and Ben get in the car after leaving out the hospital and I look in the review mirror and instantly get a flashback from when I was in my car at night looking at the big truck behind me. "What's wrong?!" Ben asks. "Oh, nothing I'm fine" I say. He rubs my arm and we head to the house. We pull up to this big brown wooden gate and he puts the code in and they open up to this beautiful modern cabin style house like he said. We pull all the way into the driveway and there's a wooden board that says "The Affleck's"

He pushes me inside because I'm on a wheelchair for today but they also gave me a cane. He goes back outside to get the rest of my things, and I roll over to this table that has pictures of me and Ben on it. There's a picture of our wedding day, a picture of us at work, on dates, even at parties.  I smile at the pictures and pick up the wedding one. As I'm looking at it I have a flashback of our wedding day. "I love you forever, and in a day" Ben says. I smile and look at him but in my flashback I can't see his face.
I get snapped out of this flashback when Ben comes in and asks if everything is okay.  I say yes and he said he'll cook dinner for me tonight. I smile and say okay.

We're sitting at the dinning room table, and Ben lights some candles and starts putting the food on my plate. I look at him and asks "how long have we been married?" He looks at me and says "we just got married not to long ago. We're still in our honeymoon phase." He says. "Oh I'm sorry, I can't remember." "It's okay, give it some time and everything will start to come back." He says with a small smile. "And family?" I ask "My family doesn't live in the same city as you and me." He says. "What about mine?" I say. He looks at me and clears his throat. "Um honey they died in a car crash last year" he says. I lol at him and try not to cry. "I'm sorry" he says. "No it's fine, thanks for telling me" I say. "What kind of accident was I in? The nurse didn't really tell me what had happened so I thought I'd ask you?" "You we're in a hit and run. They told me that when the car hit you, you flew on top of the hood and fell down and hit your head pretty bad. The person that hit you must of gotten scared and fled the scene." He said. I shake my head up and down and said oh ok I understand.

"The only thing that matters is that your alright. I was so worried when you told me you was going to the store to go pick some things up for dinner.  I called you and you didn't answer the phone." He said. "I called the police because it just all seemed suspicious because it's not like you to not answer your phone." He continued. "Good thing I did because after I told them your name they had said you was on your way to the hospital and had been in an accident." He said. It means a lot to me that he is so protective and he cares. "Thank you for caring and having a feeling that things were not okay." I say. "You're welcome. We've been together to long to not know when something is wrong with the other person." He says. I just smile and we continue to eat and rap up dinner and get to bed.
