amber rubbed her eyes as she cried. she was hiding in destiny's closet as she waited for her to get home.
the truth was, amber felt physically and mentally exhausted. she felt like no matter what she did or said she'd never be able to compete with evelyn.
evelyn was smart and funny and pretty and she never seemed to lose motivation for the things she liked to do. amber wasn't smart but she wasn't dumb, she was funny but she didn't think she was and to some, she was the most beautiful girl to ever exist in life.
destiny knew that amber wasn't helping herself make a move or get over chris, she was just creating another obstacle for herself.
amber didn't like hearing things like that though, so destiny just supported her through everything and was with her every step of the way, because if she wasn't, no one else would be.
amber sighed and stood up, pushing the closet door open and jumping into destiny's bed. all the crying she did ended up tiring her out so she eventually fell asleep in destiny's bed.
a few hours later amber woke up to laughing and someone jumping into bed next to her. she sat up and rubbed her eyes, raising an eyebrow at the pair that entered the room.
matt grinned at her from his spot in destiny's desk chair. "hey amber" he greeted and she looked between him and destiny.
"hey.. i just came to take a nap. i'm gonna... go.." she snickered as she quickly put on her shoes and left, deciding to walk home instead of calling an uber.
