A man was seen humming while walking down the side walk, when he reached the end of it, he looked both ways first then proceeded to walk across the street.
"Today's a good day"
Those were his last words as a Truck seemingly out of nowhere fell down onto him. That's right, it fell down from above, nobody knows how it came to be but what they do know is that it already got a victim.
Blood spluttered all around the truck as it decimated it.=X=X=X=X=X=X=X=
"Where am I?" Arthur asked as he sat up from the bed (?) And rubbed his head. But he then stopped as he rubbed his head once again.
"Why is my head so smooth? And why does it feel so... Hollow?" He stopped rubbing his head as he looked around his vicinity, in fact, nothing in this room was his.
"What the... Huh?!"
He then heard his voice, the first time he did, he was too tired to notice, now though... It was different, his voice was so much deeper than his usual voice. He then quickly stood up from the unfamiliar bed and walked towards the nearest thing that can act as a mirror inside the room which were trashed with socks and stuff.
Once he saw his reflection, let's just say that it wasn't a great time for our pal here.
"UAHHHH WHAT THE FUCK? WHO ARE YOU?!" Arthur shouted as he saw his reflection. He took a few short breaths as he seemed to calm down after a few minutes. Trying to confirm something, he waved his hand in his reflection, similarly the mirrored version also did the same.
"Okay... So I somehow became a skeleton? Wait a minute, is that a tornado with socks flying with it?" He saw the tornado of trash from the reflection, which something clicked inside of him, something that made him sweat and his smile grew.
"D-did I become sans? How? Why?" His musing was cut short as he heard loud thumping coming towards his room. Which he regarded as Papyrus since he was the only other one inside the house.
"Brother? Are you okay? I heard some loud yelling" Papyrus asked him behind the door.
"Uhh of course Pap! Had a little nightmare, don't worry! I'm just 'sewing' the 'stitch'uation from my dream since I have a feeling it had some kind of deeper meaning bro"
His smile grew more and more by the second as he heard some small groans behind the door.
"If your already making puns this early then you won't mind guarding your post this early would you?" His smile faltered a bit as he heard work.
'Either this reaction was because of my body not wanting to work or move, or it was my mind not wanting to work... Which would be nonsense since I've always worked before'
"'snow' problem bro, I'll be sure to tell ya if 'icy' a human coming!"
"Ugh! You and your horrible puns!" Papyrus bit out as he stomped his way towards the first floor, or from what he could tell anyways.
Arthur, or now sans let out a sigh of relief, the only reason as to how he was able to make those puns were from the stories he read here and there when he was still human.
"Well 'Tibia' honest, I always loved puns from the start" Sans chuckled as he then stretched and looked for Sans usual blue hoodie.
"Ahah! There you are!" He then grabbed his and wore it as he tested it's sleeves and the comfiness of it. As soon as he was about to go towards his post, he remembered about his powers, wasn't he the judge? How would he be able to judge now? He doesn't even have any knowledge of using sans powers nor judging people.
Though his problem was only for a short while as he held his skull while holding down a groan from coming out. Memories of how to judge someone from their facial expressions to using sans powers were forced inside his head.
Only after 1 hour did the pain stop. He then huffed a few breaths in as he held his chest while looking at the new note that definitely wasn't in the room just now.
He took the note and read the notes in it.
[Thought you would have troubles with these eventually, so I just figured why not just directly give you memories of how to do it. No need to thank me~]After reading the last few words, sans gripped the paper hard as his grin turned to a smile of annoyance.
"Heheh... That hurt a lot pal..." He sighed as he knew he wasn't able to do anything about it. Rubbing the back of his skull, he looked at his room once more before shortcutting towards his post.
"Uff" He let out a small manly yelp when he fell to the snow in front of his post and sighed. Patting away the snow that got into his hoodie, he then sat in his post.
"Wait what part of the timeline am I?" He stood up right away and looked at the direction of the ruins... He then walked towards the ruins door and knocked at it.
"Knock knock?"
No reply came. Which wasn't what he was expecting, so it could be that Frisk was there now or he still have not met Toriel yet. Shrugging, he took a shortcut to a nearby tree and hid there for about a few minutes before the ruins opened for the first time in a while. How sans knew this was because of the dust that was spreading with the wind. Not that kind of dust though.
What came out of the large door or gate was a human, to be precise, a female human who had a shirt with stripes on it, wearing short shorts and had a neutral expression. Walking in the snow, she took a few glances on the surrounding trees before walking forward.
As she walked after a huge tree, a branch broke, like something stepped on it, who did it, well we know who did it and yup, it was sans, he didn't know how sans usually did that but what he did though was he took a shortcut beside the stick, stepped on it then took a shortcut back towards the trees. But it did produce the effect he wanted though.
Frisk walked forward without stopping, dismissing the broken stick. Sans though about it for a minute, should he go with the usual dialogue or shake things up a bit. Taking a few more seconds of thinking, he reached to the conclusion of mixing new words as he greets the kid. Nodding his head with an expression filled with pride, he then looked towards the kid who stopped at the large gate in the wooden bridge.
Taking that as his cue, sans then appeared behind Frisk as he raised his hand towards her while having a laid back expression.
"Human, don't you know how to greet a new pal? Turn around and shake my hand"
Frisk did what he said and a loud fart sound was produced, the origin of it was from his hand. Sans raised his hand as he let out a few chuckles then explained to the kid.
"The ol' whoopee cushion in the hand trick! It's always funny"
That seemed to make Frisk smile, which made sans grin grow a bit more.
"So a human huh, we don't get a lot of humans around here" Frisk tilted her head with a face expressing confusion. This was new to her, sans dialogue changed.
"But you seem 'chill' enough" Sans let out a pun while doing a gun pose. Which led to Frisk laughing a bit, more like giggling I guess.
"But speaking of humans, my brother though... His a human hunting fanatic, and I think that's him over there" Sans pointed in front of him. "Quick! Let's get over this large, tall gate and you hide behind this inconspicuous lamp" Frisk's brows rose from his dialogue but didn't talk about it, whether or not she can talk, sans had no idea.
'Time for my act, sorry paps, your brother is already gone, I'm now occupying his body' sans thought as he looked at the trees with hazy eyes.
Though it wasn't for long as he heard a familiar tune getting louder and louder, making his smile bigger.
